So I already had an M3 Power razor but I ran out of blades so when I went to get some last night, I picked up one of these new razors. I get in-grown hairs pretty bad on my neck, so I'm always trying to do whatever I can to help my skin. Definately works in my opinion, quite possibly the best shave I've ever had. The single blade is awesome, I can finally cut my sideburns perfectly straight which was almost impossible to do with the regular Mach 3 blades. The only downside is the cost of the new blades, they are hella expensive, $12.34 for a four pack, but hopefully they'll last for a few more shaves. Oh and if you buy a Fusion Power, don't buy blades with it. It comes with one and you get a $2.00 off coupon inside for blades. Or you can open the pack like I did and then use the coupon at the same time I'm very satisfied with the new razor's performance. |

i have been complaining silently to myself about the cost of razor blades for a while now. and when i saw the new price on the 5 blade i decided it was time for a change. i got a remington micro screen something or other. i'll use it for a while and see which works out better price wise. i have sensitive skin and so far i am really liking the electric razor. but it needs to hold up for a while to outprice the blades. |

See I bought one of the electric razors that has the three circular heads and it dispensed lotion as you shaved. It was terrible, it would grabbed and pull hairs and pretty much made every folicle in-grown. So I took it back and bought the Mach 3 Power. Even with razors though I still get a few in-grown hairs every shave, so I pull 'em with tweezers. |

Hey Guys...If you get ingrown hair from shaving, get a product called Tend Skin lotion and all your problems will be solved. It has been around for years and is commonly used among Afro-American males as they seem to suffer most from shaving related ingrown hair. As an esthetician, my wife goes through a ton of it in her business as she does a lot of bikini waxing. No she isn't looking for any help, enough of us guys have already volunteered to work for free. Tend Skin sells for $21.00 for a four ounce bottle. If you can't find it either locally or online, I'll sell it to you for $21.00 plus USPS shipping in the contiguous 48 States. Just send me an email and I will follow up asap. (Message edited by Outrider on March 28, 2006) |

For the price I pay for the Mach 3 and how long the blades last. I'm close to going back to the old 2 blade style. |

Did you guys ever see the Saturday Night Live "fake" TV commercial for the new shaver with something like 16 BLADES? It was hilarious!
![lol](http://www.badweatherbikers.com/buell/messages/4062/185815.gif) When I bought the new Fusion, I remembered that skit. I laughed because I was buying a razor with 5 blades...but it works pretty good. |

I use one of those 4 blade ones with the safety bars, cos I'm a clumsy git. Much less blood loss & not a bad shave. If I need a really close shave, like for a wedding etc, I go to a proper barbershop for a cutthroat job. As for the head, the wife won't let me shave it (yet) so it gets a #1 with the clippers every month. |

I shave about once a week to clean up my neck and the edges around my beard. Modern multiple blade razors get plugged up between the blade slots and irritate the hell out of me. It was so bad I had to use my wife'w toothbrush to clean them out to finish a shave and get two or three shaves out of a disposable razor. Last year I found an old (WW II vintage) Gilette double edge razor in a antique store. It was SS, new in the box, and only $3.00. I found a pack of 5 Gilette SS double edged blades at Wal-Mart for about $1.50. It is absolutely wonderful! When it gets plugged up you can unscrew the handle a little to partially open the top cover, rinse the residue out, and continue the shave. And the shave is close and smooth. At three shaves to a blade, I can still get a shave for a Dime! Newer and Better is crap! We should have known that, look at our preferred rides! Jack |

Chasespeed... I checked with the "War Department" and she says Black Magic is for coarse curly hair and may not apply if your head is sensitive. Di's recommendations are as follows. 1. If you stick with a blade use Tend Skin's Air Shave Gel in lieu of shaving cream/gel. 2. Thoroughly dry and apply Tend Skin Lotion. Use sparingly. You may want to do this twice a day for best effect. 3. Apply a small amount of Tend Skin Waterproof Moisturizing Lotion daily. 4. Do not use any products containing alcohol. 5. Perspiration promotes ingrown hair. Clean often. Note, Wet Ones help considerably. 6. Keep that helmet liner clean. It could be causing your problems. Avoid cleaners with alcohol or other chemicals that can dry/irritate your scalp. If you can't avoid them, rinse thoroughly with water and/or wear a separate helmet liner that protects and absorbs perspiration. You can find Tend Skin products at tendskin.com and then go shopping online for your best deal. Chase, I hope this helps you and anyone else out there that has similar problems. |

Chase...Agreed. I never thought I would be a source of information concerning subjects like this and if you ever met me, you would agree. The only reason I know any of this stuff is that I cashed in part of my retirement and bankrolled my wife's skin care biz. Trust me, you invest that much money into something or someone and you are going to know everything you can about it. Just wish I had applied the same enthusiasm years ago concerning wrenching. I'm still using the Gillette Sensor Excel... Found that I didn't like the pivoting heads on the new ones and the replacement blades are absolutely ridiculous... So I'll stick to the 2 blade style razor... To combat ingrown hairs, I use some sort of sensitive shave cream, and after I always apply Nivea Extra Smoothing After Shave Balm... It feels great, and keeps the pain/irritation and ingrowns to a minimum... Hey what can I say I'm a sensitive guy... |
