I took this today. I have trouble explaining behavior. . . both my wife and the dog. She's working diligently on a piano piece and Jack refuses to be displaced as the center of attention and crawls up in her lap. He's about 4 lb larger than her and, well frankly, a piano bench ain't the greatest place. My thinking. . as long as he's there start teaching him.

I can sympathize Court. Here is my dog Ginger. I have to keep reminding her that she does not know how to type. When I'm at the computer she tries to force her head between my hand and the keyboard. Priorities are priorities after all. She is a 2 year old Golden Retriever/Yellow lab mix.
I picked her up at the pound just days after her first birthday. Sweetest dog to ever own me. Just ask her. My kids love her too. whatever their names are.... (Message edited by diablobrian on March 19, 2006) |

Arctic
got him hour's before he was to be put down. i have more money put into him than i care to remember. he should be almost twice his size, but was hit by a car very badly and heart worm so bad it should have killed him when he was pretty much a pup. all that when he was young seems to have stunted his growth so now he's just half as tall and built like a tank even though he doesnt look it. |

Hello all, Please say Hi to Kaipo, the worlds friendliest (and dumbest) Rottweiler. He is pressing his nose, teeth and tongue against the sliding glass door and seems to like trying for maximum tongue time. /image (Message edited by Ray_maines on March 19, 2006) |

Blake, Really sorry to hear about the loss of your dog. Kind of a bad week for us too, we had to put our 11 1/2 yo cat down. I'm not sure I would completely trust someone who says a pet isn't part of the family.. Ray, great picture! Court, sign the dog up for lessons... |

Blake, My condolences on Roger and Josie. I went through the same a couple of years ago and that's how I wound up with Gus, who never met a camera he didn't like. Here's a pic of him showing off his Christmas collar:

Blake: Sorry to hear about the dog, it seems nothing hurt more. Couple years ago Vick lost a German Shepard she'd had for 17 years. I wish dogs could live for ever. Court |

Hey Midnyte... Here's a thought.. Train her to use a litter box. She'll probably be small enough.. then, when she's inside and there's nobody there to help with 'emergencies'.. she can use the box. Had some friends of my dads that decided to sail around the world. They took their toy (forget the breed, kind of looked like your new lady though)with them. It was a medium/large type box and was fixed in the cabin (to keep it from sliding around) for her use. It worked really well.. Due to quarentine laws, she never set paw off the boat until they returned to the US. So it was really the dogs boat! Just a thought. |

Thanks all for the kind words. Keep all the dog pics coming. They are great! Court, It's obviously Jack's home in which you abide. Lucky thing that he's nice enough to let y'all hang around. |

Ray, that pic was a little startling at first, It looked like your pup was ready come through the door. Your caption set it right though. Rots can be great dogs. |

OK, people. All the dog-loving has got to be stopped. It's getting out of hand. Move it along. Nothing to see here. |

Since I'm without a dog right now, I figured I'd be able to post a pic of Nick and Sammie's dog Elwood I took during the Saturday night, after the 200, BBQ.
Blake, Sorry to hear of your loss. As Buellgirlie said, dogs do take a piece of your heart. I agree with Court with wishing dogs could live forever. 1313 |

This here's Connie:
She's a kleptomaniac. Shoplifting: She walked out of Petsmart with a small chewy toy that I didn't see til we got in the car. Breaking & Entering: She sometimes will escape the back yard and go steal from the neighbors. Soccer balls (3!) shoes, kids toys, blankets, cushions, towels, clothing etc. Bob |
