Sorry for the offtopic post... I have a friend in business that got a bunch of data he needs to use monday, and he just found out it's all in Lotus Wordpro format. He can't find that software anywhere to buy locally before monday (so far, but he is still looking). Anybody got a copy they want to ***sell*** that is capable of creating an ISO image and using the internet to transfer said images to my server? Roxio Easy CD or Nero can both make ISO images (as can Linux). Remember, they need to buy your copy, not get an illegal copy of it. Email me offline if you can help. |

This was PM'd to you also. Have him try Open Office, http://www.openoffice.org/ It is free, a huge download unfortunately, but it will do just about every major word processing format known to man and does a real good job of it. I've not a heavy duty word processing guy but I quit using any of the M$ Office Suites some years ago for Open Office and it seems to work fine. Thanks Jack. It think the actual file they need to open is one of the few OO does not support (unfortunately). I think I scared up a copy that will cover them until shipping catches up with them and gets them the actual media. You can buy it for $39 from many websites... |

Murphy's law. I open a fair number of doc's, presentations, and spreadsheets (mostly from M$ apps) with OO and have never noticed any problems. And I don't mind at all not having to club about 300 M$ sub-apps into submission. And I don't miss this guy either:
