After working an overnight shift, I knew that the next 2 days were going to be warmer then it has been in a while. I just got my new carb delivered monday, and I had several other parts to install. At around noon, I went out to swap the parts that I have purchased with my tax returns (new air cleaner, carb, battery and voltage regulator. For once, everything went smoothly. There wern't any of the standard unexpected headachs that normally accompany swaping out this many components. Once everything was put back together, I started it right up. It only took a minute for the fuel to work it's way down the line and the engine to idle properly. A small adjustment in the idle adjuster cable and everything was all set. I went out on a test ride, and I had the biggest smile on my face. I had to cut the ride short though, since I had to drop my bike off at a local shop to have my new tires put on. I will be picking it up this afternoon. What a great day. |
