The wife and I are moving to Shelbyville, Indiana. Lookin' to find some Buellers to ride with, and a BRAG club to hook up with. What are some good roads/areas to ride? What can I expect for insurance, tags, etc.? Dave (Indyxb9?) |

All the roads are straight until you get to Michigan! Once you get to Michigan, all the roads have frickin' potholes. One positive point though, Dave. The Woodward Dream Cruise now should be an easy gig for you to make. I went to it a couple of times when I lived in Wisconsin. Once on a Buell-owned S1 testbike, even - that V-Max next to me sure didn't like the burnout I did on Woodward though. Congrats on "getting back to the Yankee's"! 1313 |

"All the roads are straight until you get to Michigan!" They are????? You need to come to southern Indiana then! I am storming around on some of the best Buellin' roads north of Deals Gap! There is a Brag Chapter in Bloomington, and it's at a great dealer. When you get here, look me up on here, and we can get together(with some of the other guys I never got to meet last year), and I will show you the sites! Lay your hands on a map of IN, and look at these: HWY 46, 135, 450, 45 I make a big loop out of those, and a couple more, and ride it nearly every sunday. }Take a trip to Rabbit Hash, KY! I'll meet you there... Man, I' haven't been to Rabbit Hash in years, I'll do it! Also have to do Blue Ball just to say I did it again. The area around 'Hash makes for some good riding if I remember correctly, right? One positive point though, Dave. The Woodward Dream Cruise now should be an easy gig for you to make. I went to it a couple of times when I lived in Wisconsin. Once on a Buell-owned S1 testbike, even - that V-Max next to me sure didn't like the burnout I did on Woodward though. Woodward Dream Cruise, Mopar Nats, U.S. Nats, Buell Homecoming, the '500, the Brickyard, Nelson Ledges, Mid-Ohio, frickin' sprint car races all around, good riding just south and east of me, Skyline Chilli stores just an hour away,......................

Theres more than corn in Indiana. Hoosier Thunder Club has applied to have a place in the "Wicked Twisty Tour" this year. I STRONGLY encourage anyone and everyone to come. The roads around Bloomington have to be some of the best riding in the country. Hoosier Thunder Club is in hawg heaven down here. |

Great riding all around Rabbit Hash. Deals Gap it ain't, but very nice relaxed sporting pace roads all over the place over there. Continue across and over Kentucky, then up to Hocking hills, and you have a fine bit of touring. |

Oddsc, I personally think Buell of Bloomington is the best. It's a bit of a ride, but worth it. |

I have not tried Bloomington, they sound great. Two other choices would be Cincinnati (I had a bad experience there with the parts folks, but the work they did was good, and I promised to forgive them as they sponsored a battletrax) and Dayton (Good work on the bike, good parts people, good inventory, also sponsored a battletrax). |

Dave and Eric, Can't give any better recommendations than those already stated for the dealers but don't hesitate to give me a jingle if you want to find some good roads. I've started a section <http://www.bikenutz.com/roadrage/> on my website to give recognition to the good roads in Indiana. Granted it's just getting started and it will never match pashnit.com but hey this is Indiana. |

Just a quick plug, for any and all who are, or will be in the Indiana area in July. We are having a major event at Buell of Bloomington during the fourth of July weekend. Riding courses, a track day, and more! Please feel free to join us. |
