Hey guys! It's really me!! I have a laptop now thanks to Josh!! A friend from work brought a network cable by today and here I am!! I am doing pretty good. I am taking about half the pain meds that I am supposed to so I guess that is a good thing. My ribs are the biggest pain along with my lower back. Last night I managed to sit up for about a half hour and that felt awesome! My legs are real shaky, but I am sure they will strengthen in time. I have to tell all of you that I have never been so touched in all my life. The help that we have received from all of the BadWeb is unbelieveable. It has brought me to tears more than once. In all my life I have never seen such an outpouring of friendship, even from people that I may have only spoken to once or twice. All the phone calls and well wishes have and still continue to play a huge part in my recovery. I have a long road ahead of me and knowing the support that I will have along the way makes that road a lot less bumpy. I have to go for now, but I will try to check here and say hello at least once a day. Thanks again guys!! Nick and Sammie | ||

Glad to hear you are doing better. As you said, it will be a long road, but with support from Sammie and friends you'll have good company along the way. Sammie was great about keeping us updated while you were in the hospital. You are very fortunate to have her on your side. Blake: We thought youd be here already! Lafayette has already taken one of the best camping spots!  Grumpy: Girl and a cell phone took me down big time. Hey Nick. Glad to hear you are doing better. I went down years ago but nothing like you are going thru. I was down for a month or so for my foot and leg after they got squashed between my bike and a guardrail. You truly have an outstanding wife that cares for you very much. Court: As competitive as I may be/have been, I think I'll let him keep the record!  Maybe I could just take him on in a nice game of Backgammon! Odie and the rest of you: Thank you again for every single well wish and kind words. Believe me that has been and still is the best medicine ever. It does wonders to keep my spirits up. For those of you like Honu that are coming to the house, I can't wait to meet you! I owe another special thanks to stan (midwayav8r)and his friends for coming by and staining the pool deck for me! You guys are awesome! I can't begin to explain the weight being lifted by all the little honey do's that I left undone getting done. It is tough when you are used to being the guy that does it all having to ask and let others do for you. I can't find the words to express our total appreciation. Cataract: It is almost one of those Court "Remind me and I'll tell you later" stories. We both were out of very bad marriages and floundering around. We had a mutual friend on ICQ that we chatted with in Hawaii. She introduced us online. We chatted online and the phone for about 6 months. I paid for her plane fair to meet me in Nashville while I was there for two weeks of school. We just hit it off in every single aspect you can imagine. Not long after that I did one of those things that people dream of. I shipped what little belongings I had to her in Washington state where she lived at the time, I quit my job and moved out to be with her. Since then it has been just beautiful! Our biggest secret is that we have no secrets. We talk about everything under the sun. We talk and play more than we ever watch TV, etc. We are each others best friend too. Good luck on the search!
