Saving lives is not the EPA's concern. We are actually good for the soil when buried. |

I thought that formaldehyde was a carcinogen! I drive a hearse - when I'm not riding - so, okay I used to drive a hearse and I haven't noticed any side effects. People would always say that it smelled like formaldehyde, but I never noticed... I concur with Blake! 1313 |

All performance parts and accessories will be evolved to Buell and HD will strengthen their image/market placement as a cruiser. |

1313: My sister has a big caddy hearse she never mentioned it either, But they DO use a preservative on the deceased, come to think of it the lids are usualy closed on the caskets so the hearse would likely not smell! Court: That is a relief to hear, If i understand it correctly, BMC will not be offering "race kits" either. Because of the exhaust pipe issue (Message edited by oldog on March 03, 2006) |

Could that mean there will be high performance Harleys sold new badged as Buells? Lets see a Buell sportster or maybe a Buell rod both performance oriented versions? Could open the way to a few buell stand alone stores. Just a thought not based on anything except too much coffee.

All performance parts and accessories will be evolved to Buell and HD will strengthen their image/market placement as a cruiser. I'm not so sure. I was at the dealer yesterday talking to the parts manager. He told me the screaming eagle HD pipes are now coded "Pending Obsolete". So I had him bring up the Buell race pipes on the system. The polished silver ceramic pipe is also coded "pending obsolete". The matte silver one was coded strangely, but the general conclusion was that it also was obsolete. Unless there is something I'm misunderstanding about this, it would appear that Buell is similarly affected. |

Diesel engines may pollute the air relative to gas engines, but they are not exempt from EPA laws. 2007 is a big deal for us that work for the diesel engine manufacturers in the way of EPA regulations. We're spending big $ to clean them up further. When was the last time you saw black smoke coming from a diesel tailpipe? If you did, my bet is it was a pre 1985 engine or an engine that has been modified. Yeah, chips and other performance products are available for diesel engines too. (just like our Buells) |

definate bolt on performance parts for diesel's my friend bought a new super duty turbo diesel. a few bolt on parts and within a week of gettin it it was pushing out almost 1000 pnd ft of torque and over 800 horse power. 5 spd automatic and it would smoke the tires all the way through 5th. but it sure pours out the smoke besides that to. |
