Making an offer on a home on Wednesday . Feels exciting, scary, and. . .depressing. This is really driving home the whole situation with Darcey. Kinda bitter/sweet.
Feeling "better" about it all. Almost ready to take the next shot life decides to dish out.  |

Don't be scared Take Charge!
I am patiently waiting for the clock to strike 12 so I cam begin celebrating my 30th wedding anniversary. Hopefully it won't be a repeat of the last 29! However all preliminary indications are that it will be a crash and burn just like the rest of them.
So consider yourself lucky.
The world is before you, go and conquer young man! Its too late for me, as I too am tired. |

That's great news!
Embrace the fear! It's normal for a big step like a home purchase.
If you get the place, don't make any big changes at first.
Let your new home talk to you first. Get to know it's personality.
Only then make the changes to make it your own.

House buying - ouch!! I had several swarms of butterflies - basically the entire time from putting in the bid to weeks after closing. It's a huge step, but also a very, very enriching one.
Someone told me about price - if you're feeling a little queasy about the $$ you're spending, you spent just enough

Made my offer on the house today, should hear today or tomorrow. They were asking $89,900. I offered $85,000, and that they pay $2,000 of my closeing. And of course I am pre-approved. |

If I get the house, I'll have a little open house of sorts. Won't have any furniture or real food, but I'll make sure the is soda and beer. Thats how bachelors live, right? |

I heard of a house warming party once where people were requested to bring various furniture and household or kitchen items. Only conditions were it had to be functional and it had to be something that could either be burned or donated and accepted at a local Goodwill or Salvation Army store. Outfit an entire house, only had a small bonfire of the unwanted burnable stuff, and only took a small pickup to take the unwanted stuff to the thrift shop. The concept only seems to work if it's for a bachelor though. Expect a couple of cable spool tables and cinder block and board bookshelves.
I'll check the garage and basement to see what we have laying around. I know we've got a couple of trunks that could double as storage and coffee/end tables.
If this is too strange, then print this post out and burn it in the bonfire.  |

As the Doughnut turns! They countered with 87,000. I said I would agree if they left the stove and fridge.
And of course there can't be any good without some bad. . . Last night Darcey's Step-father died in Beeton, Ontario, Canada. John Kendell, a Newfie from Codroy I believe, hit a truck head on. He was a good man.
