Being an attorney or not, there is no legal remedy against Euro theives. Partly because you will never find them and partly because our government doesnt have jurisdiction to prosecute them if you do. If you fall for one of these scams you can kiss you money goodbye. |

Both of those were listed in the triumph section on ebay as triumphs. Seemed a little screwy to me. |

there are b.s. listings all over ebay. Check out electronics; Pioneer makes the AVIC N1 gps deck and there are always like ten guys trying to sucker people in saying they will sell it for cheap. |

I had a friend find a awesome deal on a busa. But after reading a few emails (very, very broken english and wanted the money wired somewhere in Europe) didn't go for it. There are no good deals, someone always gets to them first. |

They're not all bad. I bought my Blast on E-bay. Very good transaction, that was. |

Riding partner and I have bought 4 bikes off e-bay. He bought his Hayabusa on e-Bay. Great transactions all. Use common sense. I got one KILLER deal on my KLR (bought a 5 year old KLR with 1,700 miles) and he got one on his 'Busa. Same old thing. . . if it looks to good to be true, it probably is. |

I've bought and sold several bikes, cars, and bicycles on e-bay. Never had a problem, thankfully. Have shipped bikes from NC to LA. So far so good. Communication before, during, and after the transaction between both parties is essential and will give you a lot of peace of mind. Again, you can get some pretty good deals....but, if it seems too good....you know the rest. |

I can't believe people complaining about buying bikes and other stuff off ebay. If you can't verify either the buyer or the hardware and want to throw money to a stranger on "faith" - you're a stronger believer in the kindness of strangers than I. I've bought 3 motorcycles on ebay. ZERO problems. 2 I could inspect directly (within 2 hours of home) and one was from Hal's (Bilansky's ex Thunderbike - now owned/raced by Tim Hurley here at Willow Springs) |

I bought my bolt for $2,000 below low blue book off EBAY. I just made sure it was someone close enough to both see the bike and hand the money to him. |

got a mint 98 s1w back in 2001 from ebay. Seller had large pictures of the bike-- big enough to zoom in and look at bolt heads. Seller also had the bike inspected by a HD dealer and given a clean bill of health. Also got my current car from ebay.. had to fly up to NJ to get it. Sometimes a good deal requires some effort. But don't trust anybody. Even pictures can lie since the date of the picture is unknown. Face it. Buells are not common. and a good deal on a Buell is even less common. |

Face it. Buells are not common. and a good deal on a Buell is even less common. Wrong, bucko! I found a '96 S1 off of Craigslist for $3000.00 (ok, it took a while to find but it was a good deal) |

I bought my cyclone on ebay, killer deal! It was near me and I told the seller on the phone that if it was not the way described then I wouldn't buy it. Ebay is Great!, but, there are many scams that you must not get pulled into. Items that you can pick up and not have shipped are safer to buy. |

Use all your senses, If it looks wrong, it probably is, walk away. Talk it through with yourself, if it sounds wrong when you say it out loud, walk away. If it smells wrong, walk away. I've been searching for a Benz C class wagon for my sister in law, in Germany, found a sweet deal looked like a low price, but the car was apparently in England on German plates, so hence the low price, no biggie for me, I want to re-register in France anyway, & I just ask the boss for a run to the UK & stick it in the truck to bring it back. Then I get a mail in dodgy English saying the car is at a shippers & I have to pay 30% in advance & the rest when I'm satisfied on receipt. There's a link to the shippers flashy website to inspire my confidence, I've never heard of them, I do a google, neither has anyone else. So I look for a phone number on the site, none. I then put the name into the directory enquiries, they're either ex-directory or don't have a phone. I'm smelling fish! |
