Phil, On November 17, 2003 you posted in a thread about a 5 speed in a 4 speed Ironhead - you mentioned you had a poster of a Shovster. In the thread you mentioned posting a pic of the pic (!?) but I never saw where that was posted. http://www.badweatherbikers.com/cgibin/discus/show.cgi?tpc=4062&post=208697#POST 208697 Did you ever take this? If not could I beg/plead with you to take a pic of that, tell me where the poster came from, or any other method of me getting a copy? |

*cough* Okay so more searching and I found it here: http://www.badweatherbikers.com/cgibin/discus/show.cgi?tpc=4062&post=235297#POST 235297 If you ever want to get rid of that, please keep me in mind. I'm going to build one if it kills me and having old stuff like that really appeals to me. |

As long as I'm replying to myself, if you ever happen to be in a position to scan that thing, that would be second best compared to actually selling it to me. |

just got in from work and saw this thread. yes i have a small poster of a shovester. i did scan it and posted it in the pictures thread probably a year or two ago. it was a trock cycle specialties poster. a little worn from hanging on the wall for years. i will post it again in the buell pictures pages. later...philip |

stryser...it is in the buell action pictures section. i don't really want to sell it. the back is kind of hard to see on the scan. i need to see if i can remember where i put it since i pulled it off the wall to scan last time. hope you build one, i always wanted to do it but wen't with a 4 5/8 stroke instead. i still have the bike so there is still a chance! good luck...philip |

Thanks Philip. I'm still undecided about this whole thing. It's sort of 70's pure brawn (Trock) versus 80's/90's engineering (Sputhe). No matter what, it will be an Evo eater. |

stryder...while i agree it would be cool to have a bada$$ ironhead to go against the evos, it is tough to make happen. a lot of limits to overcome and a lot of money. if you do it don't forget to beef up the cases below the transmission shaft on the output side. at least weld up the speedo cable hole if your engine is early. when i win the lotto i'll have to try it. always did like not following the standard quo! good luck and keep me posted on your progress. later...philip (Message edited by philip on February 06, 2006) |
