If you've been with the same company for more than a year. When its time to renew your policy. DON"T just pay the bill. Use the same company but pretend your a new customer and get a new quote. Chances are its at least 100.00 cheaper. No benifts for repeat customer. I've did this three times in the last 4 years with progressive. Each time I saved big bucks! Current policy bill was for 751.00 with average limits. I can max the policy out to 500,000 CSL limit with a lower deductable, and rental car for less money!!! |

I bought my Buell in December. I have my old interceptor with Progressive. Plenty cheap. I am 29, CLEAN driving record. To add the XB12S, they wanted $6000 per year. You're reading that right. And that is with the multi-vehicle discount (amount of which they could not specify.) I asked to speak with a supervisor, and talked them down to $3800 per year, and told him to pound sand. Solution: Geico.com $874 per year. Same coverage (can't quote numbers of the top of my head, but it was apples to apples.) Where they get their data from, I am not sure. |

i think it was progressive that quoted me like 3500 a year for my yzf 600 when i was about 20 or so. american family did it for 100 a month. my driving record sucked though. to many tickets in my stroker motored s10, lol. right now my 9r is 20 a month |

Hmm, State Farm typically lowers at least one of my bills each year w/o me calling at all. My FJR is the most expensive bike I've ever insured at $34/mo and like all my bikes runs full coverage, $250 deduct. The three bikes together (91RS1200, 00 Blast, 05FJR) are $82/mo. Keep calling around, keep tickets off your record, live in the country |

I've got state farm too. About $300 a year, full coverage w/ $500 deducs. That's with multicar and home insured through the same agent. I keep trying to get discounts for my MSF and RidersEdge stuff, but they won't bite. They say its already low, which I'd have to agree with seeing some of your rates. I have an 04 12S, no tickets or accidents. gbr |

SHOP!!!SHOP, SHOP!!!!! Don't get comfortable with any of them. I was with a company for 29 years, rates tripled! I shopped and now I pay 1/3 of the amount for cars, bikes and home owners, than I was paying for the cars alone! |

I talked to 4 different companies, Progressive wanted $3000 a year, Alstate $2500, Geicho $1500 and Farmser wanted $3000 also. Worst part was that was with the multi car and policy discounts. I ended up calling HD insurance and they found me a policy for only $425 a year. I couldn't believe it I have a perfectly clean driving record, but all said that I had too few years riding a bike. |

After 3 years with Allstate, they dropped my rates below anything I could find shopping around. Went with AAA for a year, before they jacked me on the renewal (Yeah, if you pay today, your policy will stay in effect, then two weeks later a refund, because my policy had been canceled, so two weeks w/o insurance and I had no idea). Now with Geico, and with 4x the TX minimums, it's cheaper than Allstate or AAA. (For the car. Bike is minimums) And what's up with charging EIGHT bucks each installment? Laura |

I got quoted like 1200 for progressive and I got Geico for 170 a yr with better deductables. 250/250 and over 100,000/300,000 coverage for liability I would recommend any one to Geico motorcycles and compare... I am 25 with only a couple years experiance.. The older guys will prob get better rates with the combined options |
