I know there were a few threads on this topic already in the past months but I don't know if anyone has ever posted the web site -www.cbfestivalofspeed.com . It's pretty sparse right now but keep checking in if you're thinking of going. There are at least 4 Badwebbers here in the Halifax area if anyone's looking for local info or to possibly hook up on the race weekend. |

Thanks Ryan, that link will be a great source of info, especially as they get more of the links to the details fleshed out. We got a thread going on this last fall under the Storm Fronts topic - The subject is "Cape Breton TT Bike Races - Sept 2006". Here is a link to that thread: http://www.badweatherbikers.com/buell/messages/37/158197.html?1131556177 Maybe we can get one of the custodians to move this over to that thread? The plan was to use that thread to accumulate info. It has been pretty inactive but I'm things will pick up as time goes along. That should be a great ride and there seems to be a fiar amount of interest. I'm up (down?) in Ellsworth, Maine (on the coast, 25 miles southeast of Bangor) and definitely plan on making the trip. Thanks Jack, I'll put any further info I have there. You're not far away at all...especially if you take the Cat. As it gets closer we'll have to find out exactly how many Badwebbers are coming and try and arrange for everyone to meet up somewhere. Ryan |

I think 8 or 10 people have already said they are planning on coming up for the race. I'm sure the number will grow as the time approaches. I'm going to try to offer some hospitality here for folks on the way up. Sydney, NS is about 560 miles from here in Ellsworth, ME, that is entering Canada at Calais, ME/St. Stephen, NB. Then taking CA 1 up to 104, then 4 to Sydney. I've got nothing against ferry rides but I really want to see the countryside. I'll bet that is a splendid ride. Maybe I'll take the ferry one way though. Jack |
