I am installing a new integrated brake/ turns signal for my X1 In the instructions i need to identify positive and negative wires... In my wiring diagram in the manual this is not designated.. it shows the color and where they connect ... If I use the same wire from each light for the same connection would that work or do I actually need to know + from -? |

purple, brown are the positive for the turn signals, orange is the running light red is the stop which are both positive, and the blacks for all three are the negative. double check the colors as I am going from memory... |

Chevy -- the manual for my M2 is pretty clear, but I DID have to trace the wire path on the schematic -- while you might be able to get away with swapping the wires for a regular bulp, with the intergration of all these functions into what are likely LEDs (although you didn't specifiy that), I'd want to make sure I was using the right + and - leads |

Thanks for the help guys I just got the Clear Alternatives lights and so far they look like they are goona work good... I hooked one side up quick just to check and it looks good.. Now I gotta figure out where/ How I am gonna mount the resistor. It says that the resistors get hot so I prob. can't tape 'em I'm gonna have to mount them to the frame somehow. |
