some sorry piece of crap broke into my blazer the other night. i just noticed since i dont drive it. saw an odd vehical at our apt. complex parked right next to my blazer which is off by itself. it was another blazer. same style, old square'er version. extremely dirty. kid sat in it for along time messing around then got out and got in the back of his looking around through stuff. watched for about 10 min and decided nothn was up so i went to bed. today went to leave and noticed my wire's for the turn signal hanging down and the bulb was gone. not broken, unscrewed and pulled out. who steals a 50 cent bulb. so look around and a center cap is gone. then the drivers door is open and the back glass is unlatched. they stole the center of the dash where the vents are and the cup holder. obviously they needed blazer parts so hmmm, who would have stolen them. maybe a tall skinny guy in a white really dirty blazer? i think so. nothing else that i can find. left tools, radio, easy stuff that i would sure go for. so ofcourse the police really cant do much. they left and i decided to go for a drive. figured it was someone in town that has seen it sitting there forever. low and behold i find what appears to be the same blazer. havent gotten a good look inside yet, but its in the trailer park of our small town here with a tarp over the windows. really funny thing is that the whole blazer is way dirty except one rim with a fairly clean center cap and area around the cap. very noticably different spot on that blazer. think i might have a closer look alittle later on. should be fun! last time i had to steal some stuff back from someone that stole from me there vehical happend to be a little worse for wear than it was before they got my parts. anyway, i have to make SURE this is the right one, but i dont remember seeing to many blazers that style being white with my color tan interior. should be able to notice some odd colored parts in it i would think. might be an entertaining night. |

something similar happened to me once, My Pickup truck (one of my baby's) Got keyed four years ago the night after I took my girlfriend out for the first time. well, I called the cops cause I had recently gotten it painted and its my baby. well it didnt take a rocket scientest to figure out it was her very jelious Ex that did it. Took him to court and he he addmited it, the Court said he owed me a grand to repaint the side of my truck but the Jack@ss never paid me. well few months later he was out of town and he truck was left unatended for about mounth.....you can just say i got my grand and some intrest to boot No-rice just watch your butt, but I understand your pain....Now go get your SH*T back |

Just the other day, at 2pm at work in our parking lot, remember this is the middle of the day. We had 2 cars broken into and then the theives tried to run down the people that saw them. The police said that these guys had hit alot of different business in the past few weeks in our area. Makes me sick, talk about balls. A few years ago, before my Buell days, I raced motocross. I had a kx125 two smoke and a brand new yz450f that where stolen from me and I didn't even have insurance on them. Six months later I got a call that the police had found them, the 125 had the graphics taken off of it and the 450 had the vin number ground off and filled, they had to ID it with the motors vin. I have never felt more violated. Puts you in a foul mood for quite a while. Sorry to hear about it, pisses me off when ever I hear someone has been robbed or had a something stolen. |

And then when the thievies do get caught all that happens is a slap on the wrist. I feel thievies should be taken out back and beaten senseless. I hate them with a passion. |

well i am kind of at fault but damnit i shouldnt have to be THAT careful. the guy went in through the back glass on my blazer. a week or two ago for some reason my lock screwed up on the back handle and i had to get the key out with a pliers. so it wouldnt lock. it has the spare tire on a carrier on the rear and you know how you have to open those out of the way to get the glass to go up more than a few inches. well it was backed all but an inch away from a wall. the cops are looking at how far the glass opens that way and keep saying how there is no way someone can get into it through that small a space. i said look at me im like 6' 1" 150 and this guy lookd maybe alittle shorter and no fatter if not skinnier. i said i could fit through there if i wanted in bad enough trust me ive squeesed through smaller stuff. they are still going no way, so whatd i do? well i climbed in in only a few seconds. man im not stupid. grrr |

Sorry to hear that Tim, The guy is obviously scum. I'd say the gene pool needs a little chlorine. However, be thankful. At least he didn't get at your bikes. (Message edited by diablobrian on January 26, 2006) |

ya you are definantly right about the bikes deal. i think i would have flipped even more. i just think this kid is pathetic, the stuff he stole really wasnt worth hardly anything and he left stuff that was. all he stole was a few blazer parts. kinda makes it hard to figure out that it was that white blazer that did it huh. he's not even a good thief. well i guess good enough to get my stuff, but not away squeeky clean, atleast i have a lead. |

No rice...what year Blazer is it?? I had a '85 3" lift, locker in rear, and 35's. lt just pissed me off one too many times... Just trying to lighten the mood. I hate thieves...they should have their hand chopped off when caught stealing...maybe then skinny little pricks would think twice about stealing a damned light bulb....Be careful getting your stuff...you never know what lurks behind closed doors.... If I was you, I'd take my Blazer, & go sit prominently across from his place, where he can see you, let him know you know. Take a BIG friend too. If he's guilty he won't dare call the cops. Plus you're not doing anything illegal at this point, just f***ing with his head a bit first. In a last resort, just think, "What would Chuck Norris do?" |

lol thats kinda funny! well went and checked that one out alittle closer. fairly sure thats not it unless the guy wrecked it between then and now. could be but i doubt im that lucky although it would be funny if he did! still really odd that the one wheel was shinny on it but odder things have happened. windshield was smashed in so he couldnt have driven it that way. guess i'll just have to keep my eyes open and wander around some more later on today |

Maybe he pulled the same thing on someone else and they got there first I'd be very sure you got the right guy - otherwise, you're making some poor schmuck who can't afford soap feel just like you do... Laura |

Whatever you do be carefull. The law will not care that your retribution is deserved. I spent the weekend in jail and carry a misdemeanor burglary charge with me. I was recovering my property when the offending ahole popped up behind me with a gun. By the time the cops got there his buddy removed my stuff (right in front of me). No evidence no defence. Lucky I did not get shot. I never got my stuff back. However, word has it the jerk got jumped by some guy in a mask and both his knees broken. Theifs suck. |

I agree with the majority view on theives entirely -- have been hit a cople a times in my life -- sometimes, for your own piece of mind, allowing Karma to work is the best policy -- Skyguy's story is a good illustration |
