Every time I go to the classified section, there are a few people who can't stop flaming on the ones parting out their bikes, and voicing their opinions on what somebody does with their property...It is becoming quite annoying sifting through all the garbage to try and see whats been bought and still available. There are plenty of threads dedicated to the topic of parting out Buells, where you can post your opinions to your hearts content... Blake can anything be done? |

I agree with KC stay with the subject matter and flame elsewhere. Besides it's no ones business what someone does with his/her property, unless you are trying to buy from them. |

This is getting old, I think some of these people just troll the classifieds to rag on these people. It seems like for some of these people it is the only time they post on this board. Also, a friend of mine has been under attack recently with some M2 parts he put up on ebay. It is sad that they assume he has no life just because of this, if only they knew how he contributes to the Buell performance parts industry. Yes he has a side business building these customs but his day job relates to the Buell world and its performance. |

Don't blame me, all I asked was... "Why didn't you put the parts for sale here, first?" About a month ago I asked Blake in an email to put a sticky at the top of the for sale list asking people to list the parts here at least a week or so before putting them on ebay. He said that the less rules the better. So I (we) just dropped it. I would really like to see parts listed here before going to ebay. Of course that's just my opinion...

The problem is that opinions do not belong in the classified section. People can sell their stuff any way they wish. Unless you are in Cuba or something. |

I wonder if the "Save The Buells" zealot takes the time and effort to rant at each person who sells Buell parts on e-bay... Or is it just easier to be RUDE and INCONSIDERATE to those folks trying to use the thread for it's intended purpose?? Hmmm... |

I'm waiting to see one of them in the news chained to the remains of somebody's gutted tuber. Buellhuggers...hmmmph! Too bad they can't take their damn Buell movement somewhere where it's appreciated. |

KC, Post or email the offending URL and I'll get after the problem. That kind of behavior is not welcome in the classifieds. Right click on the little "" icon above the poster's username, then click on "properties" and copy the URL and paste it here or into an email. Thanks for looking out for the board! Blake |

The only reason I would put my stuff on Ebay is because people are paying MORE than list for USED items. I check the wanted section and if I can help a fellow badwebber out, I will. However if some shmuck wants to pay way too much for something, I'll take his money. |

This is the first time I have ever participated in any kind of e-forum. I joined last Nov. right after I got my first Buell. I continue to be amazed, both by my bike and this board. My life is better because of both. If my first exposure to the Badweb had been a parts search that brought me into this brou-ha-ha, I wouldn't have stuck around, and I would have missed out on being a part of this wonderful community. Maybe I'm dense, but I can't figure out how criticism and derision=enthusiasm and devotion. ?Does anal retentive have a hyphen? |

"Quit 'jackin Buells and bastardizing them into cheapy choppers if ya can't stand a little criticism." Criticism is fine anywhere else on the board. Jackin' somebody's classified ad will just create bad feelings all around and drive more folks to eBay. |

I have to admit to hating most of those "paint by the numbers" choppa-kits. I have to also admit to buying parts from them. so far: rear shock, stock muffler, various parts for my '79XLH. This is like an ecosystem: you don't have to like the vultures and flies but they serve a purpose in the circle of life. |

Seems to me that quite a few of the Buell choppers out there are bikes that were previously damaged in wrecks or otherwise salvaged. I might be wary of someone choppin up a brand new bike w/ no miles, but if someone is giving an otherwise unrideable bike a chance to see the roads again, why not?
