Since we're on the topic. What is Hillary's response on Iran. No, I have no intentions of voting for her. She scares me. |

her comments were along the lines of iran should not be alowed to aquire nuclear weapons, under any cicimstances, the tone and manner were lost over the closed caption and restraunt noise. I had enough of the clintons years ago. I dont have a "good" picture of her in my mind as far as her stances on the important issues, this is one of the few things that she has ever said that I agree with, the other was she was not in favor of withdrawl from iraq immeadeatly(sp) only when the country is stable, the republicans can only loose the presidency based on who the dems are fielding so far. I would not vote for Dean Kerry Clinton [ the other john, kerrys running mate ] Al I invented the internet Gore. or any other dem i have heard so far. If John McCain or Gen Powell, or Sec State Rice ran I would have to think on it I hope that Dick Chenny the stealth miester does not run, he is in poor health and has served long and well. On Iran My 02$ The Iranians need to stop now, China or not Russia or not, I have to ask what in satans name was Putin thinking selling atomic any thnig to Iran Their leader is a bigger monster than Hitler in my mind the comments about the holocaust, Isrial should be wiped from the face of the earth!! this guy is nothing but trouble, In that we do not want a blood bath, he should be made to understand that In general we harbour no ill will toward the average Iranian, the policy of fermenting terrorist acts prevents us from having normal relations with Iran, we have been wrong in the past but in this instance we have more than a reason to suspect that Iran is persuing nuclear weapons and has intentions of using them against Isreal which is also a soverign nation, because of ideological differences, Even having the ability to do this is unacceptable as a result be aware of the following. WE have the ability to NUKE every villiage in Iran and have weapons left. They will cease and desist NOW, and submit to immeadiate UN inspection, the russians can run the powerplants under UN direct supervision if they need the energy, they can use material for study and medicine under direct UN control. We have no desire to otherwise interfere with Irans peaceful persuits BUT the posturing and deception must stop. IF and we mean IF any thing in the way of a terrorist dirty bomb or nuke or bio happens to Isreal, or the US We will reguard it as an act of war, against us, after the perps and the source of the weapon have been determined, retrobution will be swift massive and terrible to the country(s) harbouring or supplying them no questions asked the alternative is to arm Isreal with nukes [ not a good idea in my mind ] |

Read last night Isreal warns iran that persuit of nukes will be dealt with The isrealis are paying attention so is the rest of the world, I hope that the "it wont happen here" mind set does not take hold in the US, better yet I hope that the iranians are paying attention their leader is taking them to trouble. usual annoyance disclamers apply to above Oldog posts ..... If you normally vote for a political party or a persuasive "talking head", go here and find out how you should REALLY vote... http://www.self-gov.org/quiz.html HellBuelly J "The real freedom of any HellBuelly can always be measured by the amount of responsibility which he must assume for his own welfare and security." --Robert WelchBuelly |

which is why I've voted for only one party. I wish Nader would have won last time. Kinda of a nutcase. But I think he is very honest. |

My opinion on Iran? They must not be allowed to have nukes, period. I think though that the U.S. may end up letting Isreal take care of this one though. All they have needed is an excuse to do what they have wanted to do for years. Now they have it. I do think the U.S. will back them but only on the supply side. |

If you are naive enough to think that the Isrealis DON'T have nuclear capability, you must be living under a rock. |

IN GW1 they made a public statement that any WMD's used agaisnt Isreal would result in devastating and instant retaliation sounds kinda nuclear to me, I also seem to recall that isreal had to bomb a nuclear project in iran or iraq in the not too distant past. I think that any arab state contemplating isreals demise, would do well to keep in mind each attempt to destroy them has resulted in the agressors defeat. interesting quiz there buellerthanyou, i'm just right of center classed as a "centrist" if annoyed please contact at getlost.gov (Message edited by oldog on January 23, 2006) |

Of course Israel has nukes. I don't think they have tried very hard to keep it to secret. Hell it would not surprise me if The U.S. goverment did not give them either the technology or weapons just in case of a situation with Iran just like this. Things are getting pretty scary over there. If anyone ever listens to ART BELL and believes even a tenth of what he (or his guests) have to say it is really scary! |

If anyone ever listens to ART BELL and believes even a tenth of what he (or his guests) have to say it is really scary! I've been listening to Coast to Coast for many years now. Some of the things that seem so far fetched have come true and continue to do so. While a lot of the guests should only be taken as entertainment. Some of the discussions on the show are very legitiment and at times down right scary. I really do wish Art would come back and give George Norrey the boot. I only listen on Sunday's now just b/c of him. (Message edited by phatkidwit1eye on January 24, 2006) (Message edited by phatkidwit1eye on January 24, 2006) |

Mmm, Interesting discussion, not desperately important to me, but going back to the original freedom issue, the ultimate expression of freedom is anarchy. That's why in a democracy we have representatives (any democracy, even here, we've got lots, you want some?) they're there to draw the lines for you. You don't like what they do? vote for someone else or run yourself. You don't vote? your opinion is worthless! Just my dix centimes worth. |
