Hmm.. I think I need to plan a trip to the gap. MILWAUKEE (January 6, 2005) - Harley-Davidson Motor Company announces a new motorcycle shipping service designed specifically with riders in mind. Harley-Davidson Shipping expands riding opportunities for motorcyclists who want to ride in locations throughout North America, but face the challenges of insufficient vacation time or inclement weather constraints. www.harley-davidson.com/shipping |

Heck, we pay 240.00 for them to bring them all the way from East Troy to Appleton. It's about 130 miles. |

prices are in line with what i paid last March to ship my bike down from NH to FL for Bike Week. I made it seem like less money by keeping the XB in a friends garage through May and took 2 extra trips down to FL to ride it while it was too cold in NH/VT. i ended up saving a good bit of money and time by paying CCS racer from NY i met at Jennings (FL) who was planning on racing at Loudon (NH) bring it up with him on his racebike trailer. however, it got a bit damaged, and since i'm pretty sure it was unintentional, i didnt say anything. moving your bike around costs money, but renting one is expensive too, and riding there sometimes just takes too much time. so its back to the time or money equation - if you dont have one, you gotta pony up the other. or make good friends around the country, who will loan you cool bikes when you visit (thanks to danny in TX and frank in FL most recently) D |
