NICE. GREAT game. could have gone either way. But Texas came out on top. I was jumping up and down in the livingroom, screaming at the TV. Damn.... I'm worn out. Gunna have to BBQ me up some brisket, drink some BigRed (or LoneStar) and run over a Dillar just fer fun. I missed seeing Bevo at the game though.... ahh well... someday there will be a Bevo webcam. |

Vince might just hang around for another year. He was talking about another championship next year. It would be great for Texas fans if he decides to stay. I was sure that Texas could beat USC. USC played better then I thought they could. Texas being only the second real team they played all year and some of those games they barely did get by. Congrats to both teams on a great game but I am so glad Texas won. |

Vince has told all (repeatedly) that he is coming back next year. We Texas fans are thirlled at this; he is probably the best that's ever played the game (at the college level)! |

The score should be 7 points less for Texas. There was NO touchdown...his knee was DOWN. Not that I care...I thought both teams deserved it. But it just goes to show...the only good ref is a dead one. |

Yeah, that blown call woulda probably made a difference, surprised they didn't review it. I was amazed at how easily Young could walk around the Trojan defense. They couldn't stop him, how many times did he run on that final drive, and then to just trot into the endzone...lmao. Leinart just wasn't paying attention on the attempted comeback, only had to get 12 yards to get into FG range but burned the clock instead...no receivers, shoulda spiked it. Why did Carroll burn their last time-out on Young's 2-point conversion? Thought that was a mistake... All in all an outstanding game, I think it lived up to it's hype... I usually have NO interest in college football, but last night I heard the jets fly over the house ( I live about a mile from the Rose Bowl) and I thought I might get to see the planes on the TV so I switched it on. Too late for the planes, (them babies are FAST!) but I started watching the game. I didn't move till it was over! Best football game I think I've ever watched! Both teams were outstanding, and Texas deserved that one, even with that blown call. AL |

It was a good game. Bush's attempted lateral was a huge mistake. It appeared (at least to me) that USC's defense was to spread out. It looked like they were playing a zone defense and were getting burned. I guess some of the defensive backs just haven't learned that arm tackling just doesn't work! Were those F117's stealth that flew over the rose bowl? Those lame announcers didn't say a word other than they flew from some base in the mid west or south. All in all it was a good game. |

USC's defense was to spread out. It did seem at times as if they were just letting them walk down the field, helped TX in the 4th quarter !! |

Getting beat by the T-sippers is sucky. I feel for the USC fans. Kudos to the steers. |

It was a great game. I'm a huge USC fan, and went to every home game this year. I know USC has a great team, and I really wanted them to win, but Texas played a great game, and Young is an outstanding player. Congratulations TEXAS! Hopefully we will see ya next year. |

Well if Vince doesn't go pro, texans will probably have a good chance of getting him next season. |

Hook Em. I am sitting in my office looking out at the UT tower right now. It will be lit orange with the number one on it all weekend. Still a lot of excitement on campus. The general consensus around here is that Vince will not be with us next year. |

Young is going Pro... who can blame him? heck, he'll prolly go before Bush. Heisman? we dont need no stinking Heisman. next year? Colt McCoy will likely start for UT. |

C'mon, Captainplanet, it's only a couple hours from you! And Chop, you could be there in a day or three! rt Chop, I agree 100% regarding Vince Young. Last time I checked, the Heisman didn't come with any prize money, and how dumb would it be to blow your knee out chasing a stupid statue and miss out on all those NFL bucks?? |

Well, I'm director of security for the Hyatt Regency Century Plaza hotel in LA. We were the host hotel for the Longhorns while they were in town. The night before the game, we hosted the Longhorn Bash for 8,000 people. I made a comment to someone how impressed I was with the demeanor of the Texas fans. Despite amazing amounts of alcohol, they were really well behaved. THen, the game was spectacular. I went back to work after the game to manage the "after party" which was not planned for. I guess nobody thought they'd win. USC, on the other hand, had planned a large party at the Park Hyatt down the block, which was a dud since only about 100 people turned up. We had about 1000 in the hotel lobby for a few hours after the game. A lot of the players were there signing autographs and hanging with the fans. It was good. Again, though... the game was amazing. The score went back and forth so many times, there was no telling who would win. Then when USC was up by 12, I thought Texas was done. But they pulled a rabbit out of the hat and pulled through. Great game. |

Wish I could make it for the Ride to the Ranchito. I've got other commitments I can't change. All the best to Vince Young. It was a really fun season. |
