a few months back-- a cop gave me the blue lights, in my car. I pulled over to the side and stopped. He ran into the back of my car. You see I was on a 35mph road and doing the speed limit. Cop was not a patrolman and chances are got way to excited about using his blue light that he didn't notice I was doing the speed limit. So when I saw him and the blue light it only took me a few feet to pull over and stop.

As luck would have it the county has insurance through a group that not only provides insurance for all the countys in the state. But they also provide planning, budgeting, and law making help. Good for the counties. Bad for me.

My injuries were just the normal neck whiplash and for some reason my hip. About 6 weeks worth of visits to the chiropractor and things were back to normal.

I go to settle with the insurance company and they offer me 500.00 for pain and suffering!!!!! I'm not looking to get rich by no means. But 500.00 isn't even enough to cover the hassle of having to deal with such a rude insurance company.

I have a close friend who was tapped in the rear by a big rig who was trying to get a rolling start on the green light. Just a mark on the bumper. He went to the ER just to get checked out. Nothing wrong and he got offered 1,000 up front --- no hassle at all.

If you've been in a minor fender bender and was not at fault how much was your pain and suffering settlement for?
