Blake, Are you and our other Texas Badwebbers out of harms way? It looks awful from my perch. |

Steve, I haven't heard of any of us being directly involved in the fires. One of them last week was about a mile or two down the highway and on the other side. A couple of families lost their homes in that fire. I was out washing the truck and I believe I saw about a dozen fire trucks go by.I would smell smoke occasionally and would look directly across the highway to check on things.(Across the highway was the direction the wind was coming from) There was 2 or 3 fires around the Arlington area that day. It's been real dry and with the real high winds if one gets started you can't hardly put it out. I heard later that some of the fire trucks were being used to circle the fires and try to keep them from spreading. It also got pretty close to a couple of large propane storage tanks. Very Nasty business... Kevin |

No fire here in the desert. No water either. Really there isn't much of anything. The weather has been in the 70 amd 80 degree range which is good for riding and having apartment trash messing with your bike. |

I saw some fires along I-40 West of Texarkana the day after Christmas. You could see it from a long ways off. Are those creek and river beds dry like that all the time? |
