To remove the "Buell" signage on the outside of their building once they decide to not carry them? My local dealership stopped carrying Buell line in EARLY April and they still have the BIG sign up and lit...just kind of frustrates me. |

There is also the issue of their web site and business cards and letter head and contracts and other advertising. Then you also have to consider the Buell.com dealership locater that isn't always the most up to date either. |

They could send it to me! Not sure how long they have. |

I have the same predicament, There is a dealer near me that stopped the line, and on top of that moved... but the old building still has the Buell Sign on it.. I want to ask the owner if he wants to sell it.. lol |

The dealer here in Taylor still supposedly carries the line, but the only sign is at the back corner of the building that you can only see if you are going into the back parking lot.I thought about asking what they did with the sign and see if they would sell it, but I dont have anywhere to put it. |

I would love to have the Buell oval in my garage. I could probably sell more Buells with the sign than the dealer can... Same thing is true for the number of inactive BRAG chapters on the website. I really wish that we could buy Buell parts online at Buell.com (sorry Dave, we love you but this would be extremely convenient). |

yeah, nearest dealer to me is flying the colors also, they are no longer a Buell shop, tried to talk them out of the sign, but they refused to take it down. i think they still have some V-rod parts which fit my XB ( battery, spark plugs) |

Heck, given the choice of buying parts on Buell dot com and using Dave's services, I'll take Dave anytime -- he knows me, he asks to make sure I'm asking for the right parts (saved me some embarassing product returns a couple a times) and I KNOW he'll get me the parts PDQ (even included a pack o Kool Aid with an order!) what could Buell possibly do to top that? |

Thanks Bomber! That is why I have resisted the shop online thing on our website. It is just so impersonal. You don't get any advise I can't tell you the difference between the products I don't get to talk to you and build a relationship. Yes, it is more work to do it the way I do but to me and hopefully most of you,it is worth it. |

Please don't get me wrong Dave, your absolutely right when it comes to the service parts and special orders. I would merely like the ability to order some "fluff" like a t-shirt from Buell.com. I firmly believe that dealers such as you have an important role to fill. |

Yes, but the only way we can justify filling that role is by doing the business. T-shirts and fluff are part of that. Glad you see both sides. |

There is a dealer near me that has a Buell sign out front. I stopped in to chat one day (there were only a couple of people inside and they were all in the clothing area. Two salesmen in the display area BSing) and asked why they didn't have any Buells on display. One guy said "oh, we don't carry them anymore" the other guy just gave me a blank look. I asked why they still had the sign up and that I would take it off their hands for them. The guy with the blank look said "those things are like 10 grand...we're not just going to give it to you!" then I asked if they were going to leave it up until someone offered them 10 grand. I got two blank looks to that. What a bunch of goofs, is it any wonder that they couldn't sell Buells? |

PS: I'm not going back there (well, since they don't sell Buells any more, I guess I don't have any cause to) and I'm telling all who will listen (I have several H-D buddys) not to bother. This area has enough H-D dealers that it's not an issue to by-pass these guys to go to a good shop. |

Blackbelt, I thought the same thing when I drove past that building recently. I did go to their new shop today(to buy Christmas Wine in Frankenmuth), I wanted to look at a Dyna-Bob, I didn't even see a salesman on the floor, Idunno anymore! I did sit on a Ulysses in Toledo last week! |

It's just to lure prospective Buell owners in and get them on a HD. "Nope, we don't sell Buells anymore, but I do have a few Sportsters for sale. Come to the dark si...err, corner here and I will cut you a great deal!" |
