Warning! non-moto related the sad story update: so I went to cabo... he only spent 2 days in jail and is out. spent all my money. yesterday was the first day back to work.. I got 6 weeks off for FML. which didnt cover 46hrs=$1429 air/hotel 9 days $2300 2 attorneys $2500 cashed in roth ira $1200 for spending money $40/per visit to the crazy doc for my g/f (been about 8 times now) my work covers 6 visits for me @$175ea=$1050 smashed a laptop $500 (it was old) have to sheet rock a entire wall in my bedroom. $? broke mirror in my new truck along with: abs lights on cruise control doesnt work compass is out 4x lo doesnt work. dont drive angry is all I have to say. (I did it to myself, no one was near me at the time I decide to 'jerk the wheel to the right' to make a new road) btw, first new vehicle I ever had. dumb, I know. 8o( it just didnt like going in the mud I guess. hmm, I'm sure there are other things I'm forgetting. I haven't broke or punched anything for 2-3 weeks now. must be the valium. us consulate=big joke-we found out they did go and try to get info but the policia said 'no' luckily my dad is a fireman (was, now a paramedic) and the sister station for one of his friends is the fire station in cabo. The fire chief there is an attorney and so is his partner. He said if we had not come down nothing else would have happened to him. good news we got to see the police report that was at least 100 pages. they said there is plenty of evidence to charge him with rape, and not the lesser charge of which he admitted too. they got to pick a female judge, met with her and she's going to have him arrested this week with a trial starting next week. they also said its 'womens awareness month' or something like that in cabo which should also help. all and all it was a good trip, at least for 3 out of 9 days we got to do nothing. if you have one app. to do it will take ALL DAY down there I dont care what it is. our hotel happened to be above the damn baja cantina (where it happened-I didnt know it was that close, btw its one block from the consulate's office). we walked down the back stairs the first night to go to dinner and WHAMO! its the damn hallway and bathroom where it happened. I guess we got that out of the way early. we had friends and family going down so it was the perfect time to go. many thought I wouldnt make it back, I did. I even have info and address on PABLO POLONIO MALDONADO. in this case it sounds like we might actually get some justice the legal way. so, I need a damn fund raiser. I'm going to have to put my bike up for sale. maxed out credit cards and whatnot. its the only thing I have that I could sell and payoff and get SOME cash. everything else has more debt than value. plus it'd save $200/month. I'm just having issues of actually doing it.. tick-tock. I dont want to add up all the above, but I know it isnt pretty. I had to listen to her tell the story 2 times. made me sick. at least she fought him hard and all his wounds were documented, as were hers. it was 90% fighting and only 10% 'other' bit part of his tongue off, bit his finger to the bone, ripped the sink off the wall. which the water spray made it worse for her to get to the door. anyway... anyone want to buy a buell for a good cause? |

I dont want to but its looking like I'm gonna have to. I still did everything I had planned to, I didnt want to not do them because of some bastard.. plus there is a re-org at work and I'm only scheduled for a job until 2007. thats another story. everything is coming at once. her brother just found out he has cancer, had to have a nut removed and is starting kemo. theres more crap too but damn, how much can a couple take in a month. maybe there will be a new super buell in a few years... |

Misato, I can't very well "know" what you and your gal are going through, but I am outraged by your story. Unfortunately I have heard these stories before from friends. Attempted rapes, robbery, etc. I hate Mexico. I will never take anything or anyone precious there. |

Misato, after reading your threads I get the feeling you and your lady are very strong people. You will overcome this bad time and enjoy better times ahead. I hope you can keep your bike but if you have to sell, there are always other bikes; and, after seeing what you did to yours, any bike you have will be special by the time your done with it. Nice work! I'm very sorry for your misfortune and am pulling for you. |

Misato, if you have a good relationship with your bank, make an appointment, go see em, lay it all out for them and ask politely what they can do to help, don't grovel they'll just roll over you. But it's in their own interest to help you out, they'll make money & keep a happy customer, Make sure they're aware that you have other options with their rivals (even if you don't), The name of the game is self interest & leverage, use them both. Best of luck. |

Misato - My heart goes out to you and your Fiance. I would be in the same boat if something like that happened to my wife.. 15 years of training in marital arts to not use my emotions, but if that happened it would be all i could to not use it to rip that guys head off.. I commend you on your self control. I told my wife to read your post (she wanted to go to Cabo)... and she has started a prayer group (small but effective) to prey for your girls health, and justice. If you need help don't ever hesitate to ask and people here are AWESOME at stepping up to the plate. Hang in there my friend.. Everyone here is preying for you and behind you every step of the way. keep up the good fight my friend Adam |

I am almost at a loss for words. I feel like going down there just reading the story. Can't now what you feel, although a pretty close description you have given helps. The bike is replaceable, but is also very good therepy. Do what you got to do to keep you and your girl/fiance 's head up. That is what is most important, it has to be rough, but in the end it will make your relationship stronger. If I didn't have so much debt, I would buy a ticket, good idea by the way, just make sure it is feasable. Keep on keepin on, we here at BWB are always here, if you need to vent to keep your sanity, do so. Many have offered PM help, PM me also if ya need it. JIM ps- I 2nd RBRDWN's post, the FU&#&% can roast in Hell! |
