I remember Dark Shadows. One day I got scared watching it, I was afraid the vampire guy could see me through the TV. I must not have known how to shut the TV off and I got shocked trying to unplug it.

How about radio programs? Anyone ever listen to those?

I can remember sitting in the living room in the evening in a military housing area near Tokyo, Japan and listening to a Zenith Trans-Oceanic radio. Some of the programs were:

Gunsmoke
The Green Hornet
Amos 'n Andy
Fibber McGee and Molly
Duffy's Tavern
The Shadow
The Whistler
Boston Blackie

Then, in 1951, we returned to CONUS and I got to see a television set for the first time.
