There I was, puttering about the Ventura/Oxnard CA area this Saturday afternoon on my little Kawasaki "scooter with an attitude problem". I'm at an intersection and see a guy cross from the opposing lane on a blue Cyclone. "Cool", I think to myself. 40 minutes later, I'm stopped at the line of a left turn lane for another intersection. I look to my right and see a guy two lanes over on a black XB9S waiting for the same green light. I pointed at his ride and gave him a big thumbs up. The light turned green and we were off. This wasn't like I was going to or from Neptune's Net either. These were just guys riding around town by themselves. Usually I see about one Buell on the road per month. But two in one afternoon? I'd like for there to be more days like this . . . |

Steve - It's an omen! Your next citing will be an XB12R! The madness is beginning and it has no end. Then that is when the omen will bite you and make you go to the Buell store and get one. Then you become part of the madness. |

A couple of months before I got bit by the motorcycle bug, I saw three XB's at a local gas station. Haven't seen another Buell in these parts since. Haven't thought about it until now, but maybe that Buell sighting was what planted the seed in my mind to look at them at buying time. (That, and having wanted a Buell for about 20 years). Bill |

I think ERIK has spies around the country and if there is someone who is contemplating a Buell purchase, he sends in a couple decoys to HELP persuade a purchase. |

I've seen 5 in a day [on non-gatherings]. 6 if you count my own. That'll make you feel warm inside. Darn near gooey. |

Just a couple of years ago I almost never saw a Buell around. Now I am seeing them more and more. It's great to be part of the phenomena. |

I think you are all correct. It IS an omen. Erik IS sending decoys my way. They know that I've been yearning for one since the X1's came out. They also know that I'm making a pilgrimage back to the motherland for the holidays and have a stop planned at Appleton to say "Hi" to a certain someone we all know. It's like an episode of the X-Files or something. Now if those little green men could clean up my driving record so the insurance company doesn't play Scrooge, that would be just about perfect. |

Only a few in the state that I aware of (there may be more garaged somewhere). One guy live maybe a mile from me and has the exact bike as me. Never seem to see him when I'm on my bike, only in the truck. |
