This bag of crap has been riding around north Ga. on his BMW that he just bought after giving all motorcyclist pure h*ll. Now after he rides he gets on there and limits his comments to sport bike riders. This gal opened up on him. http://boortz.com/more/blast_back/121505_1.html Neil, Just what we mountain folk needed...another POMOS- aka Pathetic Old Man (Men or Maid) On Scooter(s). Especially one with a big mouth encouraging the other members of the herd to become a POMOS. We don't really mind the crotch rockets, at least they go fast and help improve the gene pool. But the POMOS dick along down the road and have already procreate so I can't think of one redeeming quality a POMOS possesses. Oh I forgot, the POMOS egotistically think they somehow help improve the economy in the mountains. Take it from someone with a business on a major POMOS route...the only thing POMOS do for the mountains is buy two gallons of gas and crap up our sewer systems. I lock the door and go to the back upon hearing POMOS pull in my parking lot. Oh, I long for the days when all we had to contend with on our mountain roads were the blind, old Florida retirees crouched behind the steering wheels of their big Cadillacs. Now we have all these moronic old people with their poor eyesight and slow responses, trying to live the wild young adulthood they never had. Its sheer misery and agony to drive up in these parts on a pretty day. I'd rather drive the super loop in Atlanta any day, at least those drivers know where they are going and are in a hurry to get there. Here's my list of the top ten most annoying things POMOS do; 10-Put those stupid leather tassels in the end of their handle bars so everyone can see right off that they're a pu**y. 9-Riding down the center line. Why when there's a whole lane to use, does a POMOS think its cool to ride the center line? I wonder if he'll think its cool when that big protuding mirror on my F-250 makes a bowling ball out of his head and helmet. 8-Passing in a straight only to slow down to a crawl when the road gets a little curvy. 7-Riding in large herds so it is impossible for normal drivers to get around their slow, old asses. 6-Treating their whole herd as one vehicle. Example-If the lead POMOS stops at a stop sign then all other POMOS in the herd think they can follow without stopping, even if they're entering a 55mph highway with oncoming traffic. POMOS are scared to be alone. 5-Parking in rural roadways to style and profile, even when they are REAL pull-offs in the vicinity. Guess you just don't get as many admirers in a real pull-off. 4-Believing the Harley-Davidson commercials when they show how easy it is to get laid when you own an HD. 3-Strutting around convenience stores and such in assless black chaps thinking cute young women like me think they look kewell! Gag, yuck, gross! 2-Riding the hammer lane. When are people going to to get the message...the only reason to be in the hammer lane is to pass...if you ain't passing GET OVER)!@@#@#@#! And the #1 most annoying thing POMOS do; 1-That faggoty POMOS wave to oncoming POMOS. Neil is a perfect candidate for becoming a POMOS. I can just see him up at Deal's Gap in his assless chaps (don't lie Neil, I know you've already bought a pair), farting, scratching his butt and going on endlessly with the other POMOS about his little scooter. Hoping some woman will send an approving glance his way. POMOS are so sad! Sincerely Darlene H. |

Although Neil has his enemies, he has no problem being the "High Priest of the Painful Truth", and I don't always agree with him, I do on a lot of his points, I like him. He's a MAJOR help in the fight for the FairTax, that I really really hope gets passed. I read Nealz Nuze quite often, and listen to his radio show when I can. He's an independent thinker, giving no quarter to anyone, no matter which side of the fence they sit. But because I tend to like his point of view on things in general, doesn't mean I want him on a bike, although I do feel EVERYONE should have to ride at least a year, just so they know the world we see, and get...educated. I can see Neil being a POMOS, I can also see him being a good biker, that is after he gets broken in. Give him a chance, everyone that rides, even the posers, are at least, riding. He is only a beginner, we've all been a beginner before. Darlene (I'll bet) didn't like him to begin with. I've been listening to him rant about the HD crowd, all he's been upset about is the straight pipes, he's not said anything bad about anything else I've heard anyway. My 2¢ |

I like POMOS, for this reason. They'll buy a bike brand new and then drop thousands of dollars on it. Then come the first winter its for sale at a very very nice price. Bought a BMW from a POMOS from a gated community just outside Atl. He paid 13,000 and than spent another 600 for the hard bags. I bought it for 7000 rode it for the summer and sold it for even more than I paid! So POMOS are good for at least one thing. |

That's how I get cheap kayaks too! Posers are good for my economy. |

Where would Harley be without posers? I think in big trouble. Like someone said on another thread $20,000 Harley equates to $10,000 motorcycle and $10,000 to join the club. Remember not everyone can be a Buelligan! (Message edited by BCordb3 on December 16, 2005) |

Neil Boortz is so boring, I never get riled by what he has to say because I never listen to him. Not saying he's right or wrong, just boring. |

Good points Glitch... There are few people more outspoken than Boortz. That strongly polarizes him regarding approval in our society. At least he rides now, and I think he is the type of person to advocate a positive standpoint for motorcycles. Darlene H. wrote a letter full of prejudice, stereotypes, and absolutely unbased and unsubstantiated assumptions. There's no need to criticize anyone who chooses to ride unless they are doing something unsafe. She obviously does not like him, and does not like a certain type of motorcyclist. Just like Neil Boortz, Harley has a very specific and very recognizable image, and is therefore very polarized in society. People either hate them or hate everything else. Anyone who thinks I am going to stop riding after a certain age to avoid offending anyone can kiss my . If I end up riding a Harley and I am wearing something made out of black leather, so what? What if I decide to get a BMW GS or A KTM Adventure and wear a motocross helmet? It's a shame that people spend time berating other people like that... If these people removed their heads from their a$$es, they wouldn't end up spouting so much bulls#it when they opened their mouths... (Message edited by p0p0k0pf on December 16, 2005) |

Whats wrong with farting and scratching your butt? It's better than trying to hold it till you explode or squirming around in your seat looking like you are doing something unspeakable to your bike. Anyway farting and butt scratching is not limited to only old men.

I wore black assless chaps while riding a sportbike in the dead of winter before. This included a black leather jacket (which I still wear) that was made for riding a cruisor. Guess what, while I received from the sportbike group I ride with, they were the ones shivering. Hey, that stuff works when worn at the right time. |

Cataract2, I with you I wear chaps all day long if I have to, just so I can ride my bike. |

being on the high end of 40, and a buelligan i found the post slightly amusing, highly offensive, and just crass. The "woman" should consider going back to school, to expand her vocabulary, she seems to have a problem with self expression with out profanity, ( we all slip up now and then ) hide from a prospective customer ?? [ hey 2 bucks is 2 bucks ] did not learn much in that business major class either.. if she actualy OWNED that store well... If she sees illegal and dangerous actions call the sherrif!, I have a set of seat less black chapps, quite handy at times, particulary in cold dry weather, did i mention that I was on my way to getting old? there is a reason that the "old" folks got old, like not being stupid! I have stopped on the side of the road for smokes, raingear, rests, and photo opps. Oh yeah and it seems that she either hates some radio commentator, or was having a bad day, if shes' like that all of the time I for one hope that She stays out of the gene pool OL-DOG |

Here here,,,agreed! It's hard to beat a set of chaps in cold weather. I wear them all the time and really don't give two hoots what anyone thinks. YMMV, G2 |

Cataract, I resemble your remark. I wear black chaps and catch guff for it (even put on a Fuell page), but as you said, I'm not the one shivering! LOL! I enjoy both rides, squid and (so called) POMOS alike. Like Glitch said, at least their on two. I ride my own ride (usually a little riskier than I should) so it doesn't matter to me. Merry Christmas to the gene pools! Young and old. (Message edited by charlieboy6649 on December 25, 2005) |
