Just found a new survey for sportbike riders at Buell.com. Here's a direct link: http://www.surveymonkey.com/s.asp?u=471531597504 |

I guess they concede Illinois to Yamaha then. And just curious, but do other brand membership groups make a big deal out of pins and patches? |

They just left out Yamaha because of Dyna! Leaving Il out was either your fault or Bomber's |

MikeJ asked: "And just curious, but do other brand membership groups make a big deal out of pins and patches?" how about T-Shirts? |

The Goldwing club has a pretty big following. The also have patches pins ralleys and the like But I'm not sure if it's sponsored by the Honda corp though. |

They could save the pins and patches money and spend it on something else if you ask me. |

I have a patch or three. I have a few pins also. I like the t-shirts best though. |

Pins and patches do nothing for me. I like the T-shirt idea. |

Nothing to be ashamed of, just a personal choice deal is all. I think the survey was trying to figure out what gets people to come to events in the first place. I do know that quite a few "HOG" folks go out of their way just to get patched and pinned. I find it interesting in this BRAGish survey the parts of their questions dealing with "other brands" when asking who we ride with and what events we attend. |

I find it interesting in this BRAGish survey the parts of their questions dealing with "other brands" when asking who we ride with and what events we attend. I am guessing there taking a clue from Honda(funny) and make it more along the lines of the honda hoot/americade. Go away from being only Buell, and head towards allowing any bike into the BRAG group They have been talking like this for some time, i just wonder when there going to allow other bikes in No Honda either Good catch, i hadnt noticed, but than again, there isnt anything in the Honda line thats interested me as of late Out of sight out of mind R |

The survey was relatively underwhelming. Personally, I think the high school kids did a much better job with their tail bag survey. Hope Buell didn't pay too much for this one as they already have the information from BRAG and other easily accessible sources of information. |

I'll go ahead and add some post survey thoughts here, as we know the Non'nies will be looking over our shoulders here... I't undercut the motherships Riders Edge courses, but I wish there was some [BRAG] emphasis and/or sessions on bike set-up and riding skills. It's not a lot of fun trying to keep up with a bunch of guys who already know how to flog their bikes. I also like rides with destinations other than racetracks... |

It's not a lot of fun trying to keep up with a bunch of guys who already know how to flog their bikes Dont, if there real riders, they understand and will wait at the next stop sign or fork in the road, ride your own ride and dont allow others to dictate how YOU ride, it will just end up ugly R |

no apologies ever needed . . . . no one that is honest ever stops learning how to ride better -- the great news is that there are a multitude of learning opportunities available these days -- for instance, see: stayinsafe.com that survey tool is a wonderful thing, allowing folks without a great deal of cash to generate a survey to gather data that will, one hopes, guide their decision making down a constructive path -- it has de-mystified what was hitherto a black art, indeed the other side of that coin is, clearly, it also allows folks to put together a survey that is incomplete, leaves out critical data to allow useful information exchange, (I wonder what this means, Willie -- no one in Illinois or Ohio rides sport bikes! guess we should stop tryin to sell Buells there) ( no ohonda rider likes pins! woo hoo!) -- in short, it's a tool that amatuers can use, so one often get amatuerish results . . . . |

I think a BWB patch is what we need. Place the user name underneath, be easy to spot someone from here. |
