Well, I'm officially a Joe Rocket poster boy. A couple of my friends bought me a pair of Ballistic 5.0 pants to go with my Rasp jacket for my birthday/xmas this year. Bring on the cold! |

On a side note, the gloves and mask I'm wearing in that picture came from http://www.jafrum.com, and they were super cheap. $15 gauntlets $10 face mask The gloves in particular are amazing for the price. |

I got a pair of those 5.0 pants. They're great in the cold but I don't advise wearing them in warm weather. For my top half I got a Joe Rocket revolution jacket and an Aerostitch windblock fleece jacket. Now all I need are warmer gloves. That Rasp jacket looks pretty cool. Much better in an actual photo than on the J Rocket website.

Now all I need are warmer gloves. I highly recommend the Jafrums. I've been out on the highway in the 30's with no problems, and I haven't found any store that could touch the price. That Rasp jacket looks pretty cool. Much better in an actual photo than on the J Rocket website. You know, I thought exactly the same thing when I was first browsing the Joe Rocket site. What sold me on the Rasp was this picture from metricbikes with the vents open:

I like Joe Rocket stuff, I have the Meteor Jacket, very nice in the cold, very wind proof, looks a lot like your new jacket. You'll be needing it this week and next, if you're riding. They're calling for a "Polar Blast" for the next ten days or so. |

Sanchez: Does that mask help keep your visor from fogging? Also, how does the leather work that close to the skin? BTW, I have JR Ballistic 4.0 pants with Meteor 3.0 jacket. (Message edited by fdl3 on December 14, 2005) |

Sanchez: Does that mask help keep your visor from fogging? Also, how does the leather work that close to the skin? The mask is actually a bit worse for fogging if you have glasses. If you exhale through your mouth, all the air goes straight up your cheeks. It gets better after the mask breaks in a bit and starts to fit your facial contours better. When the mask is new, it puts too much pressure on the bridge of your nose when you tilt your head up. After it stretches a little, it feels really comfortable though. I also have a fleece mask, and I have to say the leather is both warmer and more comfortable. |

They're the GL2068 model. Here's a link to them: http://shopping.netsuite.com/s.nl/c.433673/sc.12/category.56/it.A/id.586/.f |
