This thing was supposed to be revealed at the IMS in Long Beach yesterday. Haven't found any photos from that event, but I found some press release photos here: http://www.raptorsandrockets.com/news.html 800 cc parallel twin (possibly from a Polaris ATV), shaft drive, CVT, WEIRD bodywork. Here's one photo from Raptors and Rockets: Interesting, but I don't think Buell has anything to worry about. There are a couple more photos and the text of the press release at Raptors and Rockets. Fixed broken hyperlink (added ".html" ). Thanks Whodom, for sharing the news on Victory's new bike. Blake (Message edited by blake on December 10, 2005) |

I saw it today at IMS - very strange piece of machinery, to say the least! Kinda like a scooter, but without the 'step-thru' convenience. Prob'ly sell like hotcakes, to those that want a scooter, but don't wish to deal with things like comfort, power or that aforementioned convenience. just my 1/50 of a buck AL |

[I think] that thing looks like a pig. Not that I think it'd handle like a pig, it just looks like a pig. :P Judge Dred, RobobCop... Looks like a bad 80's version of "the future" |

I think the snowmobile stylists got ahold of that project. They stole a little of the Confederate front forks styling. |

So what is that massive hump? A trunk? Looks like you could fit a V-W bug in there. What was that movie? TRON where they zoomed around on things that looked like that. Why not just go all the way...

Tron ROCKED! (though not as much these days as when it was first released -- my state of consciousness at that time made it a bit funner than it really was, I"m thinkin) The Vicotry Styling exercise looks like they got a couple interns from a design school and left em managed for a little too long -- the othter side of that coin is that Vitory is doing some pretty good stuff elsewhere -- on the topic of cempetition is ALWAYS good, I'd love to see em get serious about a non-cruiser bike, just to see what they are really capable of |

What do you suppose is underneath all that ugly body work? Maybe the real bike with real world utility.

I guess that is what happens when Arlen Ness designs a sportbike... He should stick to what he know's best, and so should Victory. |
