If I read the preview correctly, Buell gets the spotlight after the commercial break. They also got a subtle tank shot from the Guggenheim exhibit earlier. For those looking later, it's a Modern Marvels episode about motorcycles, close to two hours into the episode. |

It was a quick bit about Buell with Erik talking about the XB's (No Ulysses). It wraps up the program. Not a bad one, at that. |

Show was filmed before the Ulysses was conceived. I kinda dug the show because that is Aaron Wilson's museum quality 1990 Buell RS-1200. I got in a bet with some celebrity type riders (alcohol was involved) one night in New York and quipped "if you can't ride it, why the hell would you own it?" Challenged to "put up or shut up", I had to call on Aaron for the bike. I left Bethoud, CO at 3:30AM, in near freezing weather and rode to Las Vegas, with a side trip to Bryce Canyon, and into 106oF temps. The bike was literally ridden into the display.....earning the distinction as the only bike ever to be RIDDEN to any of the various iterations of the Guggenheim Exhibit that took place around the world. There was, as history will reveal, a plan for a much more spectacular Buell presence at the 'Gug, but show sponsor BMW made darn sure that didn't happen. Remind me to tell you . . . |

I'll bet they're regretting that now with the Uly aimed at them . |

I saw that show a few years ago before I knew what a Buell was. The part with Erik explaining all the innovations is what got me interested. (Message edited by madsx on December 09, 2005) |

>>>Ich bin sehr vertraut mitt Bay Emm Vay's paranoia mitt Die Buell @ die gugge. Well, you'd have to know Lucy and understand it was her $2,000,000. You do recall the gallery at the top of the building? It was, from a political perspective, an interesting engagement. It was the GAP that popped for the $1,000,000 worth of stainless sheeting. I enjoyed the entire gigs, but my personal high point was getting to know Kirsteen Britten.
