I've got a 2000 S3T and have my eye on the race kit p/n 82001-99YA, saying it's for an M2. I'm not sure if this kit works with the S3T with fuel injection. I noticed on the pictures of the kit that it doesn't seem to have the plug hole for the O2 sensor on the header. Does this matter? Will the kit work on my bike? Does anyone recommend it? |

Benton, I'm pretty sure the ECM for the S3T is different than the one for the M2, and yes, you need the O2 sensor. You can get the correct race ECM from a couple of places (American Sport Bike and I believe DaveS has them). I have a 2000 S3; my plan is to buy the race ECM and a good air filter from American Sport Bike and add a Drummer muffler to the stock header (when finances allow). |

Thanks for the input. I do have a slip on muffler that I just added, and it made a good bit of differance, being that I don't need to drop the clutch anymore to bring the front end up. I'm hoping for even more power with an air intake system and an ecm. |

You need the ECM! Without it you are probably running pretty lean. Not good for your motor. Race ecm is 193.50 thru me. I have them in stock. Add the ecm and air filter and you will love what it does for the bike! |
