I have owned a number of textile jackets but never quite had exactly what I wanted. My Motoports were very nice but lacked good venting and were a bit hot in the summer (never owned an Ultra which is suppose to address that issue). Many of the people I ride with rave about their Aerostitch gear but they seem to have the same venting issue in hot weather. Finally saw exactly what I wanted at the Vanson factory. It is a Vanson Overlander and has full vent curtains on the front, is made of 1000 denier Cordura, has leather reinforcement inside, and takes their armor. Now if only the weather will warm up so I can test those vents. If you are looking for a textile jacket I would include Vanson on your list of options. |

Don't forget the "Venting Machine" or "Air Flow 2" line of jacket and pants from BMW. Tougher than anything else I've seen. Saw a guy just after he got his bike blown out from under him and he tumbled quite a ways, hardly a scuff and no torn seams (Air Flow 2). That works for me. |

Tombo, Do you have a picture of the Vanson Overlander jacket that you can post? It is not listed on the Vanson web site. Thanks |
