Hans- I've been sidestepping responding to this post because the statement is so absolute and honest, there's little area to hold on to it from. none of us knows when our movie will end. most of us are playing the odds and saving for retirements, etc. the odds are only that, odds. you are alive, right here, right now. nothing can or will change that. You are alive in december 2005. contact everyone who means anything to you and tell them. hold close to your chest those you hold close to your own heart and don't ba afraid to cry. love the people around you- tell them exactly how you feel. laugh a lot. more than ever, now, there is little in this world for you to ruminate over- now all is insignificant except that love and kindness... your intelligence shared here on this virtual medium suggests a man who will ascend to that next place with the grace and ease of cool, airy mist off a sunny new morning's pond. (put in a good word for me when you get there... I could USE it ) |

Saying goodbye and walking away, looking forward without throwing a quick glance backward, if there would be somebody waving, or sticking his middle finger: I just couldn`t do that. My tear canals, which are normally wide enough to let my tears flow, concealed, right through my throat, became insufficient, while I was reading all your good words. I have accepted my fate, but keep my eyes open for any escape: The Gauss curve, with the life expectancies, is not zeroed out at nine months, but still on 0.8 %. That is 4 persons out of 500. And, maybe, the Good Lord will decide, inspired by the good vibes from over the pond, that it becomes time for a small miracle: Just to proof Himself, that he did not loose His touch. After all, my grandfather, who was a general practitioner during the first half of last century, stated that he witnessed miraculous healings of cancer. I always thought that his diagnostic skills were insufficient. Now, I give him, at least, the benefit of the doubt. During the night from 4 till 5 december, my mother in law died from cancer. 90 Years old. mentally sharp till the very last days. I had always already a strong bond with her, still reinforced by my situation, which she was aware off. She felt always extremely comforted by my assurance that I felt myself very well. She was an exceptional example how to life an good life till the very end. I feel miserable not being able to support my beloved one, till the end of her days. But I am so glad, that we did not live an outrageous life, with has as result, that she doesn`t have to sell our new home and she can live reasonably comfortable. I would like to say some personal words to every responder, but it is too much: And all or nobody. With one exception: Blake: No, no, not a special page for me. This has to be, generally, a board for Buell enthousiasts, in all their joys of the day, and not a mausoleum. And what I ever forgot to say to you: "If you like Aaron (and who doesn`t), try to apologize before you offer forgiveness. " Thank you ,thank you, thank you All. Bye, Hans (Message edited by hans on December 06, 2005) (Message edited by hans on December 07, 2005) |

Hans, I've not posted here since you started this thread. Simple reason, I was and am at a loss for words. However three words come to mind. Courage Class Character. You my friend have all three in unmeasureable quantity. Thank you for being here. Thank your for your past contributions to our little online community. Thank you for what you have done for the future. Many of us will use you as a perfect example of the above three words. Your mother-in-law was lucky to be able to call you son. Peace and tranquility to you in you fight against the demon "C". God speed my friend. Prayers for you and your family. Brad |

Hans, These are distressing words to hear about this happening to anyone, but to a fellow enthusiast, it especially hits home. I realize that it takes a big man with a lot of courage to bring this kind of personal news to a public forum. I'm glad you are doing it with a sense of humor and hope. Keeping "eyes open for any escape" is a good sign. I take it that means you're willing to fight back. Consider this: A couple weeks ago I met a fellow car collector who was talking up Tahitian Noni Juice and how it promotes good health and well-being by fortifying the body's immune system at the cellular level. Apparently it can heal unhealthy cells and keep healthy cells healthy. I'd never heard of this stuff before, but found out that what Noni juice does is nothing short of amazing considering it's 100% natural, sort of like a gift from Mother Nature. Don't feel like you have to respond to this. I'm just sharing news of a beneficial discovery (Noni Juice FAQ) that many people may not know about and what I think is hope for the future. Sparky |
