Didn't find this posted elsewhere on the board, so I thought I'd give y'all a heads-up. Click on the FAQ link in the upper right-hand corner of the main page at www.Buell.com. All kinds of good stuff in there: owner's manuals, tire pressures, etc. Check it out! Attaboy Dave! Yes! Great stuff. Hopefully they'll add the links to the owners manuals to the model pages too. |

Come to think of it, would ya like'em? What would you suggest? Starting from 1995 S-2? |

Do they even know of such things as the "R" series models? They probably do, but it would be a misuse of their valuable time to cater to all 19 of us 'antique Buell owners'! Is it true that the pre-S2 units were originally designed to have kick starters on them? Does Buell plan to have an Infrequently Asked Question link for the truly obscure? |

Do they even know of such things as the "R" series models? QUESTION: They probably do, but it would be a misuse of their valuable time to cater to all 19 of us 'antique Buell owners'! ANSWER: Buell won't, it was a different company. But, this reminds me that I owe you a copy of the service manual for your bike. 1991, right? QUESTION: Is it true that the pre-S2 units were originally designed to have kick starters on them? ANSWER: No, it is not true. QUESTION: Does Buell plan to have an Infrequently Asked Question link for the truly obscure? ANSWER: I doubt it. But, their PR folks, a couple years ago, contacted me about doing a periodic column on the website. I'm going to see if there is still any interest. If there was enough support and interest, it would be a good way to share some interesting thing. |

Hmmm, I clicked on the Ulysses owners manual and it is nothing like the manual I got with the bike. The online versions basically just gives me a list of ways that I can mutilate or kill myself Obviously Written by Curt Cobain when he was at Buell.... |

No, it's all there. The hitch is that, in it's current state, it's about the opposite of "user friendly". . . be patient. Good people are at work on this. Here's what ya do . . . 1) Go to www.buell.com 2) Click on FAQ's in the upper right hand corner 3) Go to "Can I order a Buell Owner's Manual?" 4) Go the Ulysses Owners Manual 5) Go the the TOP RIGHT HAND CORNER and click on "HOME". If Pavlov's rat would have had to go through this, the pellet would be there today. Now. . . see if you don't see something that looks word for word like the manual that came with your bike. Missing, at least for the moment, is the TABLE OF CONTENTS that are in your paper manual. You'll find the online equivalent when you click on the "HOME". Let me know if that works for you. Court |

Some of the questions are so funny? Like this one. I want to purchase a Buell® motorcycle. What should I do? I knew what to do when I wanted to buy one. Fork over the money. |

Come to think of it, would ya like'em? What would you suggest? Starting from 1995 S-2? Heck yeah. I'd say those of us with older bikes actually need them more. We're more likely to be a 2nd or 3rd owner, and thus less likely to have the paper version. My bike is made out of 3 different Buells, so I actually need a whole stack of manuals. |

Sanchez, excellent point. I've kept a case here and sent them to folks when I cold, but I'm about exhausted. Down to a paltry 6 RR-1200 manuals. The FAQ section, at this time, is pretty "sterile". This is the real world and the very fact, given the legal and marketing maze it MUST (justifiably) go through, it's pretty neat that it just exists. If you have questions or suggestions, drop me a note. Buell has hired two new project managers and this is going to get further attention. But....for the first time since 1993, minds are opening. That you. . THE P3 BLAST. |

Links to the Service Manuals would be a welcome addition to the site as well. Mine is missing the cover and almost every page has oil stains all over it! |

Slightly belated answer to Court's "1991?" Yup -1991 Also, I actually bit my tongue cause I forgot to remove it from my cheek when writing that post above. There is a lot of interest in having a regular Court Canfield generated column on Buell's website, at least from where I'm sitting. I used to read all the Buell (by Court) columns that appeared in the Thunder Press and enjoyed them fabulously. As far as support goes - is this gonna cost me any money? AL |

The BLAST is a HUGE chapter in the history of Buell. From how it began (it had nothing to do with Buell in the beginning) to what it has become. The BLAST is the "intellectual model" for a new way of making hand built quality American made motorcycles. It happens to BE a motorcycle. But, if I were doing a new plower plant and I was in charge, I'd take some tips from the BLAST playbook if I wanted to optimize my teams. Organizing genius. Genius without direction is like a fuel funny car with the rear wheels jacked off the ground. |
