I have a 1998 S1W Enforcer that I aquired from an insurance company a couple of years ago. It had been in a garage fire and had suffered smoke and some minor heat damage. We are in the process of restoring it and are looking for information on these bikes. The Buell Motor Comapny has told me that they made 25 of them and they were considered "escort" vehicles but that is about all of the information they have provided so far. I am wondering if any of you Bad Webr's know the location of any of the other 24 Enforcers or have any knowledge of things such as offical photos, magazine articles etc. I am pretty sure that the East Troy, Wisconsin Police Department had at least one of them. Any information is sincerely appreciated. What Buell Motor Co. has been able to provide is: 1. 25 Enforcers Built 2. Police Style Lighting System from Squad Fitters 3. Sold on request to dealers 4. PR stuff in a bunch of magazines 5. Buell also made some (20) M2 Peacekeepers and S3 Defenders Thank in advance for you help. Regards, Jeff Stevens |

You may want to get in touch with the Duluth Police dept. in Duluth Georgia. They used Buell police bikes. Also S2Pengy(Todd Williams), as I recall, bought one of the retired police bikes from Duluth PD. Not sure if they are these are the bikes you're looking for, but who knows? Todd knows quite a bit about his bike, and as far as I know his is 100% original. |

You need to speak to one of these three people. 1.Court.... This guy would know probably best. 2. 1313 .... This guy also worked there during the times. 3.DaveGess....Another guy that would possibly have the knowledge you desire. BTW could you post a pic of this rare steed. |

I had A 98 M2 Peace keeper. What a cool bike. Sold it to A Tampa PD officer. It now resides inside his house, In the game room. Should have kept that one ! When I bought it the dealer had to strip all of the cool graphics off of it. They wouldn`t sell A cop bike to the public with the graphics. But the Buell factory REALLY HELPED out here. I called and talked to customer service. They checked the numbers, And then sent me All of the graphics free of charge. (Except the protect & serve) Did I mention that BUELL REALLY HELPED out. Well (Buell) the bike is now in the hands of law enforcement. S1Eric (Long time bueller) |

One more tid bit. They made S3 Defenders S1 Enforcers M2 Peace Keepers My M2 was painted like A white lightning. White frame & wheels, Ice white pearl body from the factory. I Still have the front screen as A memory. Has A hole in it for the strobes. I had Erik sign it too. I should probably post A shot of it. Think I will try to buy that one back. S1Eric |

Actually. . . the S-1's were done for the HD 95th gig. I was invovled in raod service and they were, essentially, nifty sweepicles for local law enforcement. The first cop bikes, the S-2's, I ws thinking were dubbed the Defender. I'll go back and look. All the pictures I had while were were building the S-1's (I shot tons of details of the lighting systems) were on good old fashioned film and are burined in 4 LARGE cases of Buell pics from the last 20 years. They may be buried, they are not lost. I can get the info, but it may take a bit. If you have questions, in pursuit of restoring it, I have a great interest in preserving Buells. |

Hey Dana I`m looking for some pictures from Homecoming 2000. But I always had different body work on the bike, at that time. I use to ride the Sh*% out of it and didn`t want to harm the original body. I have A picture from Black Hawk Farms Raceway some where. S1Eric |

If you re-read my post you will see that I mentioned already speaking with individuals at the Buell Motor Company. Obviously the BMC was the place to start so while attending the 2005 H-D/Buell Summer Dealer Show I spoke with Erik B. and he directed me to a couple of people in the company he thought knew the most about the bikes. Buell's Scott Miller was very helpful, but said that the photos and printed material they have on the S1W Enforcer was already at the archives. I will eventually talk with representatives at H-D's archives but thought it would be interesting to see what kind of information was available from the public. Also, the photo shown on the police trading card link is one of the S3's not an S1W. Thanks again for any and all info. (Message edited by buelldealer on November 21, 2005) |

Thought this would be of interest... These two scans are from the 3rd issue of Battle 2win magazine, which hit mailboxes back in Spring 1997. Reg Kittrelle did a nice piece on the Duluth, GA Police Department and their distinction of being the first PD to use Buells. It also goes into detail on a few of the mods. I scanned the article, but the quality sucks because of the pic size limits...PM me if you'd like a better scan...Enjoy! FB2 (Message edited by SPREADEM on November 21, 2005) |
