I would think the best way to sync them up is to have a MIDI synth making the music and have a computer call the shots with the lights and the music. |

All I can say is, "I'm damn glad he doesn't live across the street from me". But cool, way cool. |

A plc could easily do that the music could have been added later, used salvage plcs are dirt cheap, as a PLC programmer & application specialist that would have been fun .. Happy holidy OlDog |

Correct me if i'm wrong but I believe it sounded like Trans-Siberian Orchestra...they play a lot of xmas music with electric guitar mixed in and everything. That was awesome! |

It is indeed Trans Siberian Orchestra. The group blends orchestra with modern hard rock. They are absolutely amazing! I am sure many of you have heard their rendition of Carol Of The Bells titled Christmas Eve Sarajeva 12/24 since it is their most popular tune. On the off season most of the members play (or used to) in a group called Savatage which is/was quite popular in Europe. I gave up guitar playing because of them. I was so enthralled by their music that I ended up playing it exclusively year round! Check them out you will be hooked!! |

Here's the low down on this amazing display. (From some web site) The guys name is Carson Williams from Mason Ohio He used 88 light-o-rama channels to control the 16,000 lights. The tune is Wizards In winter by "Trans-Siberian Orchestra". He runs the whole thing off a 40 amp service. He has a short range FM transmitter so you can hear it in your car and he doesn't have to tick off the neighbors. Google his name and you'll find a bunch of site with info. I found one with a guy that lives near the display. Amazing stuff.. Brad |
