Eric, Looks to me like Amber's britches are fitting better in the more recently posted pics; they show here beltline just a few inches BBB compared to the 1st pic where it looks to be mere mm's ASAC. The girl on the Buell is still giving you the finger. |

When I went to the open house at Liberty H-D in New Jersey, I was not allowed to bring my 14 year old daughter with me on a demo ride. I guess the passenger has to be over 18, or 21; I'm not sure which. We drove 250 miles and stood in line for three hours to test ride a Uly. We were a bit disappointed and a bit annoyed as well. |

at long beach, the rule for demo passengers was "if the passenger can touch the footpegs" and has the other requirements of long pants, closed toe shoes, and a helmet - then they could go on the demo ride. dealers are very different, and are allowed to set their own rule (and carry their own insurance) when it comes to demos than HDMC demos at events which fall under corporate insurance. Dora, it wasn't the dealer who set the rules at Liberty's open House. It was the Buell Demo Fleet. I don't remember the name of the gentleman who was in charge, but he was pretty adamant in refusing to let me bring my daughter with me on a demo ride. Since I'm on my soapbox, why doesn't Buell have more than one Ulysses in their Demo fleet? Even if they had two, I wouldn't have had to stand in line for so long, and I might have gotten to see Erik playing "Hey Joe" instead of just hearing it from a distance. Or I might have gotten some of the free food. |

sorry, i cant answer for every dealer and i also dont know the details of what the arrangement is between the dealer and a corporate demo fleet.....i can only speak to what i know is true from this past weekend's show in long beach. i didnt get out to the demo area at IMS long beach, but i know for a fact we had 3 ulys on display in the booth - and i didnt hear any feedback from the long beach attendees that they didnt get to ride it....so i can only conclude that we had more than 1 at long beach. but i just checked the schedule, it doesnt look like we are doing demos at any other IMS shows this year (nor cal, NYC, DC, detroit, etc. - all too cold). come to BRAG homecoming next year - we had a couple hours of erik's band and plenty of free food this year sorry i cant change everything (yet) bwah ha ha |

FYI, there were 2 Ulysses on Sunday at Long Beach for demos, one with the standard seat and one, which I rode, with the lowered seat. Boy, talk about a wheelie machine, that's the Uly. But I did like the plush suspension. On another note, my bud at the Wheel Works booth had a flyer announcing Metzler M3 Sportecs. He says they are the latest and greatest. Anybody know anything about these? |
