I'm still riding here in Central Texas. 82 for a high today, but we have a cold front coming in tomorrow. It's supposed to be real cold the rest of the week ( mid 60's from what I hear). Sorry for the jab..... |

It was a nice warm morning here toaday. It was 55 or so before dawn. YET, I was stopped twice this morning with the comment "Isn't it getting a bit cold for that?" No one said anything when it was 38. People are weird. |

Commuting ? You're kidding - but I got a great ride in on Saturday (high 40's). It only took 15 miles for the tyres to warm up and on the way back I rode into the dying (read: blinding, eye-level) sun. Smoked visors - who needs 'em ? BTW I don't mind the cold but the UK roads are a bit grim this time of year what with solidified mud & sh*t (thanks Mr.Farmer) and piles of leaves on every apex. But hey - no road salt yet... |

It was a balmy 31 deg. at 5:30 this morning when I left for work. Thirty mile ride each way. I really like my First Gear HT overpants. It's supposed to rain and snow tomorrow, so I might not be riding much. I don't like icy roads. |

We found that bridge by accident. I got tired of following a truck and several cars down 161 (I think), so I pulled off in this little town called Riegelsville. The other guy with me teaches bridge building in a structures class so I thought that he'd appreciate it. I was also amazed at how close some of those houses were to the road. You wouldn't want to step too far from your front door to pick up the paper. Most likely that road has been there for over 200 years. |

M2nc, I'm not sure about the other heated gear, but the Gerbing stuff uses the same connector as a Battery Tender. I have Gerbing gear and can use the XB12X outlets for charging the cell phone, GPS and satellite radio power. Course, my 'project' list for the winter is to get the aux fuse block under the flyscreen and provide power taps for said accessories. Cheers |

took the bike to work yesterday, it was nice in the morning here in mass., however when i went home at 9 it was cold, riding home at night in the cold when you have to urinate is nooo joke. i will generally ride until they start salting which is usually not to late december or january. i prefer 50+ degrees but don't mind if it get's as cold as 40, any colder than that i worry about reaction times and cold slippery tires. |

Iamike... Riegelsville off 611 I was a couple towns down. Half the time we pick up 611 off of Lehenenburg Road (Monroe, Bucks Co)...at least I knew you were south of Easton. I hope you got to ride 32 on the Pa side, further south and 29 in NJ is more of a highway. Must admit..drove the car this am, wet leafy roads + XB9S don't mix well |
