I'm sure Court will be chiming in shortly and maybe our other NYC BadWeBrs. I'd say better to enjoy the city and its special sites. Not sure the biker stuff there is that much different from anywhere else. Except of course the courier battle bikes you see chained to lamp posts. They are interesting sights. |

The Ear - next Tuesday night. I'm outta the country for a couple days. Back Monday. Leave me a note if you will be in town. I'll show you a neat way to parallel park! |

Not much to see as far as "exiting" dealers in the city. There are a few good dealers in Jersey though. Other than that, I'll second the Ear Inn. Tuesday nights a lot of the local motorcycle riders show up for tire kicking at the Ear. Kiehls pharmacy used to have a very nice display of bikes. I think the owner may have been a WW II pilot and had a thing for collecting bikes. Some nice Indians, old Harleys, lots of pictures of bikes and planes. I've heard they've cut back on the display - which used to take up half the store. For a biker crowd and wannabe partying, you can do worse than Red Rock West. I'll post if I think of more. Henrik |

Not bike related but..., I walked down to the pier to see the USN Intrepid museum. It was within easy walking distance from the hotel (gotta love NYC). Great history there. I could have stayed all day if my girlfriend wasn't with me..., damn Broadway shows. |

Not biker related, but the Museum of Natural History being about my all time favorite Manhattan spot... And we might be meeting up at the top of Perkins drive on Bear Mt. again this Sunday, lots of eclectic and old bikes show early, and lots of Buells up there the past few Sundays...(almost an hour out of the city, though, need a car or bike to get there...) My girlfriend used to live upstairs at the Ear Inn, it's haunted, ya know... |

I can't find the address of it on the web, but there is a great Ducati /Aprilia store down town, I believe it is called Ducati Manhattan. A veritable museum of cool Italian iron. |

Yes, that aprilia store is awesome. Address proper is 155 Avenue of the Americas, but its on Spring Street. here's a map: http://maps.google.com/maps?q=155+Ave+of+the+Americas,+New+York+NY+10013&spn=0.0 17766,0.043542&iwloc=A&hl=en Also, its not quite in manhattan ... though close by and worth the 10 minute ride over the bridge. Bar Matchless at the corner of Manhattan and Driggs (in brooklyn) has motorcycle night every Monday night. some nights there are fifty plus bikes there - lots of beautiful vintage guzzi's and ducatis. they show GP racing on a projection TV. good time in general. http://www.barmatchless.com/moto.html |
