Ignoring a gal in an Aerostich in the Twin Cities would be a terrible mistake for a motorcycle dealer......you'd risk missing a sale to one of the sports most noted riders....Carol Patzer. I am thrilled to see the new criteria for the Pegasus Award. The more I learn, the more I wonder why the 10 slots weren't allocated among about 5 dealers....yeah, I can see Dave with a trophy in each arm!

Hey DaveS: Got the belt. Installed the belt. Love the belt. All of these sentences end with the belt. Thanks. |

No Texas dealers on the list? Huh - imagine that... We have the population, the weather, and the wide-open spaces to ride - some really great roads, especially in the Hill Country near Austin. Makes me scratch my head in wonder... |

Some surprises on the list. I'll say. The guys that had my bike for 3 months (in the winter) to fix a stator are there. They were kind enough to return it to me with a broken mirror and a bunch of bolts missing. Ain't spent a dime there since. Congrats Dave! |

And Chris, you have BBQ, the official fuel of Buell riders everywhere. Must be the Okra that is holding them back? |

FYI, Dave: Okra - the southern fried variety - is THE stuff that keeps the BBQ world spinning. We took a vote and we're letting you come back down to Texas in spite of your dislike for our beloved southern delicacy. If you were from down here, your words would be considered treasonous, but since you're from up there - Iowa or Wisconsin or where ever it is you say you're from - it's just heresy, and no lynching will occur. Not during the ride, at least. Oh, yeah - if Penny ends up liking fried okra, she can "make up" for your limited taste. Blake, you agree? Hey, at least you can find an ice cold Diet Pepsi here! |

Send her down here, Dave, she and my wife will probably see perfectly eye-to-eye on the food thing. Unless Kandie doesn't like stewed okra, of course... rt |

I once offered Schnapps, our highly intelligent Boxer stud, some okra (Grandmom was from Missourah) -- Schnapps investigated it with his nose, turned around, and left the room -- this, from a being who would chow down on darned near any substance (he was once spotted chewing a concrete block) -- I made it a policy not to consume anything Schnapps wouldn't eat -- it's served me very well over hte years, helping me to avoid Brussel Sprouts, among other substances ;-} |

Okra is much tenderer than concrete blocks. Probably tastes better, too, although I am smart enough not to chew on concrete blocks, so I'm only guessing. Does that make me some kind of highly intelligent stud? No, I didn't think it would, either... rt |

Thang -- you're taking all the fun outa this, what with answering yer own questions and all ;-} ps -- while a short person, I used to think Schnapps was my dog -- I have come to realize that I was his boy -- a small, but important difference -- I learned far more from him than he did fomr me |

Oh, definitely, pickled okra. Excellent in Bloody Mary's, in lieu of that bland old celery stalk! And way better than concrete blocks, I'm sure... rt |

Kandie, her name is "Ebbie" short for "Ebony", we took her in from an elderly acquaintance who lives in an assisted living facility near us, they told her the dog (and a cat, which is currently living under the bed in our guest bedroom) had to be gone in two days or they were going to go to the SPCA. We couldn't let that happen. They're growing on us. rt |

That was nice of you. Hope they make the adjustment smoothly. We adopted another yellow lab almost 2 months ago. Barney is still adjusting. I'm on my third cell phone and the UPS man delivered Dave's new boots yesterday. Never a dull moment, he is a turd! You are right they grow on ya! |

Kandie, tell Dave that if he ate more okra, the dog wouldn't chew his boots! Here's a slightly more flattering photo of Ebbie. Hope you guys (and all my other BWB friends) have a great Thanksgiving! rt |
