Daves, I'm thinking about making it up this year. I had such a good time in Colorado at that Brag ride that I"m planning on doing more. Is there some good riding up that direction??? I know stupid question, there has to be... I'll probably be bringing up the travel trailer so I'll need to find a local rv park or preferable a state park, got any ideas close to all the events??? Oh, I know it hasn't been 'officially' announced but does anyone have an idea of what the schedule would be??? Thanks, Kevin |

Kevin- if you bring your trailer, I can bring my r/v and stay with ya. We'll find a close place to the host motel,(maybe the parking lot), and I can stay with ya.Then Sunday nite I'm staying across the street from the track for the track day on Monday. Dana - I'm with you-VOTE DAVES STORE FOR HOMECOMING!! |

I may go again, I will have to find something more comfortable than the S1. Riding that thing across a continent is a once in a lifetime experience!!! |

Come on Newfie...Encore,Encore.It would be the only S1 that went across a continent twice. Coolice,Dave said Appleton will not be the chosen one.But hell maybe Racine would be nice with a loop to others in the area...Hal's,Suburban,Pukes I mean Ukes and who ever else.Doesn't matter to me its all good. |

OK, so far so good. I think I have a stand in, pending background check for Coke at this point. GBS is a little easier to deal with so they're next. Got March Badness also, easy one since I only need one or two days off for that. It'll be great to finally meet ya'll. |

Carefull there Dana, Erik has a closer tie to Uke's than to Racine. Can we please keep the "Pukes" talk out of this discussion here? Thanks. (Talk about it freely in the relative StormFront if you want, just please keep it out of here, fair enough? Thanks.) |

My guess would be to leave out a "host dealer" and have all the dealers involved on a smaller scale. Kinda like the early homecomings. There could be stops at Ukes, Racine, Hal's, etc. throughout the weekend. Personally, not so sure I'd be an official participant. It really depends on the agenda for the weekend. While I enjoy the races, I don't need to go for both days. Just my $.02 worth. |

Mike there is plenty talk of dealers all over the country and peoples opinions on this forum. That is mine. I know Erik has ties with Keith at Uke's,so what.Racine also sells the product and should be recognized as well equally not because of ties. But if it there great no complaints here. Lake those are kinda my thoughts as well.Gives everyone a chance to see all the area's dealers and meet people. |

Just made my reservations for staying within 1 mile of the track.Rocketsprink his wife Cosmo,my wife Naughty Nurse and myself will be staying at www.vicvill.com resort. Its awesome at night with all vintage sport bikes racers and restaurants and on the lake.If anyone wants to stay in the area for the races that weekend you may want to do so ASAP!!! Because its getting booked in the area fast. www.roadamerica.com is going to be celebrating there 50th anniversary this coming year and according to the area'a resort.hotels etc. they are booking up faster. |

Is Elkhart Lake , Road America. The reason I ask was in 2000 I got a badge at the AMA races at Road America celebrating 50th anniversary of racing at Elkhart Lake. |

the Hosting dealer thing, while I'm sure generating a great deal of work for the dealer, really doesn't impact the attendants too much, IMO -- some are Buell Engaged and Friendly (read, there's some Buell Related stock in stock, and the sales staff knows what you ride), and some are, er, ahem, not. I'm glad that Daves isn't the hosting dealer, as we'll get to see more of him, but sorry he and his crew won't get the chance to "officially" shine at the event Brer Gess has it aright -- attend some of the official events, plan on riding with some semi-local around some great roads, drink good scotch, have fun -- |

Lat year I never even entered the Dealership in West Bend... Now if it was in Appleton and there were bikes and merchandice on the floor that would be different. (not that I have ever been in there before |

Paul, Road America was built in 1955 when the banned racing on the roads. Prior to that the track was a lap aroound the lake. You can still ride all but the bit that the big resort tore up. I know one of the routes, I think there were two. Those guys in the 50's were brave! |

Those guys in the 50's were brave! Here Here I watched a show on TV about the old time board raceing you guys used to have. Cold'nt work out where the big brass ones fitted on the bike, you would not have attempted that without them. |
