I'd love to see that here! That comment on the thread, "I just crapped my pants" is too funny! |

The organisers hope that Buell, Ducati and Aprilia will jump on the train. Too Cool! |

KTM is going to dominate that class if they all have to follow the same rules. Be great to see a Buell in the race, though. |

Don't bet on it. The BMW is a serious bike. |

All the current bikes in their stock configuration are pretty close in performance. The Buell has far less suspension travel than the "megamoto" competition as well as a little more weight. |

"Don't bet on it." Tell you what; I will. PM me for a gentlemen's wager on what brand wins the first championship. |

Peter, What KTM do you have the 640 or 950? I'm looking long an hard at the 640Adv. (not for the Dakar, just local stuff) Have you got any good links? Apparently the 640 Adventure is as rare as hen's teeth around here, it's hard to find good info sources. (Message edited by oddbawl on November 14, 2005) |

Just checked out your site Peter, Pretty cool! What's a fine 660 like that worth anyway? I always wondered... Anyway, I just threw down for sponsorship good luck! |

Aaron, Thank you! I seriously appreciate the support. Do you have a favourite number you'd like your name next to, and would you like BadWeb linked next to your name? You could have ordered a new 660 this year for 18,900euros ex KTM Austria, but they only made 45 of them, and they're long gone. You can generally pick them up with extras between 12,000 and 17,000euros depending on the abuse they've suffered, and what the extras are. |

If ya don't mind, #314 is open... Looks like I'll be looking at a 640 Adventure instead. New ones are about 8250euros ($11500cdn)around here. 17000euros is a little dear for me, plus a 37" seat height gives me a nose bleed... |

Yeah, I'm not sure that the Rally would make a good all rounder. It's been designed to run in rallies and not much else, so it's a pretty focused bike. There's a whole lot of extra stuff on it that you wouldn't use normally. #314 is your's, and thanks again, I really do appreciate the support... Pete |
