Be sure to get the extended warranty if you're going to take your XB to the track. Bolt-on parts are cheap to replace. It's the motor and transmission you really want covered.

It depends what kind of track day you are going to do. Some insurance companies cover track days as long as its not racing.

No insurance company insures Track days to my investigations but if you are taking a track day school not just a track day that you can show your insurance company some forms of paper work some will accept it. Check it out.

Most reputable track day operators are structuring their courses as safety/training so you should have no real problem.

If you're looking for damage insurance specifically for track/racing - forget about it. You'd pay the bike off in about 18 months with the premiums. Think about it, they'd probably have to charge on the basis of at least ONE crash per year.

Medical - yeah, damage/collision - naaaaw.

I'm with Slaughter - insurance for your bike for track days and racing ... fuggedaboutit ; )

One thing to consider for track days though would be additional health insurance for track days only. Can't remember off hand any companies, but still worth looking in to.

You CAN get insurance for ANY activity - you just may not be able to justify the expense.

I use AETNA PPO and am totally pleased. No pre-approvals for treatment, labwork or specialist diagnosis. I've already had a $150,000 race weekend this year.

When I worked at Autoresearch, we build Evel Knievel's canyon jumping rocket and Lloyd's of London insured the jump. NOT replacement costs for the rocket but for his life/injuries.
