Racier, lighter, better-looking front brake master cylinder reservoir. Ditch the old 1980's rectangular clunker.

Optional auxilliary fuel reservoir for the Uly.

Break-away notches on all control levers. In a tip over or minor crash, these cause a lever to fracture only a few inches from its free end, thus allowing enough lever in place to make it home.

Consider anodizing some aluminum parts like clutch and brake hand levers. RPM Chris has some very trick (with break-away notches too) gold anodized hand levers on his black XB12S, and they look amazing with the OEM wheel color.

Gentleman Jon,

Pretty sure the frame pucks are standard fare as of 2006. : )

How about a flatter, increased ground clearance race muffler for the Uly with integral bash plate.

Optional rear tire spoiler for the rear tire. You know like the one BMW provides on their GS; it keeps the roost off your back in wet weather riding.

A spray bottle filled with water for those wanting liquid cooling. joker

Increase allowable time before secondary rev-limit kicks in. Ten seconds seems reasonable.

Buell did a great job on the 9's with color, but on the 12's I think they missed a little. All the aluminum that is silver "natural finish" such as levers, heel guards, triple tree, even the fork tubes. Some gold anodize, and the color of the side cases used on some of these items would really set the bike off

Man, what's up with the TPS complaints? I've done mine at my dealer with no probs and they don't even carry Buell! Maybe I'm a special K?

Is it legal to provide a programmable ECM from the factory? That would be cool.

Online ordering. Let me splain. You'd order parts/accessories/apparrel from Buell.com. The order is processed to your local dealer, Buell or not. They get the sale. You get timely service with good availability.

A commemorative Blast using XB head, piston, cam, 12 crank parts for stroke, tranny, and XBS lighting/#plate, and 2" higher riders pegs, Black wheels - the only true mod would be to the peg sub assembly - the rest would basically be pre-existing parts - a proto-type was done - it would be great to see such a bike on the street - a Blast-S! (step the guides also - lol)

Make a RETRO Buell for the modern era ,the world is ready now Erik!
A XB9 for high speed and MPG's(75+ mpg should be attainable with a modern sportbike with modest to good performance} ,it would be in every non motorcycle business news mag American Motorcycle company Buell comes to the rescue to fuel starved Americans!),tall gearing, more room for more tuck, full streamlining. In retro Buell blue and all streamliner black (with chrome trim highlights... you know special edition stuff). opportunity for the taking

Don't forget the tubers,
I would like to see at least 1 version of the tuber hang around, easier to change Isos, the improved XB motor, maybe the ZTL brake
I have not had good luck with aluminum framed bikes. OIl press and temp are VERY useful information for engine status, Volts would be good too considering that FI bikes are electric
reprogramable ECM's would be good, more data into the ECM, map or air flow have a reasonably priced tool (palm based) for FI maintainence, possibly connectable to a PC via either net

I have had the distinct impression for some time that Al is not very enthusiastic about my 'Anti-splashy"

Proving once again the ancient wisdom: "de gustibus non disputandum est"
Or as one might say in the Gaullic tongue: " Chacun a son gout"

Ten four on that, good buddies?

Jon:
unusual, interesting, Erik would likely say NO,
unsprung weight,
Me I would wonder about grafting an old X1 tail to the Xb frame, or like above a fire bolt tail, I don't like the strainer my self. no doubt your creation works.

others will just have to accept a stripe up the back matching the one in the shorts ......

I love this bike and really enjoy track days. I get many surprised comments on how well the bike handles. I also love the looks. Awesome design.

I think 110-115 rear wheel HP would be great. I'd just like to not get smoked at track days by equal or lesser riders on the longer tracks. For now, I have to just go to the smaller tighter tracks, but I'd like some more options. I know I can buy a Japanese bike, but I'd love to ride a Buell that made competitive power.

For production reliablity and emissions I'm sure it would take a liquid cooled mill.

I don't think the "pasta-strainer/cheese-grater" does anywhere near as good a job of keeping the spray off your back like the rear wheel spoilers do. Unsprung weight? Not much if designed well and with carbon fiber and/or high quality aluminum.

Black_sunshine gave me a carbon fiber insert to replace the strainer part of the tail section. Works as good as it looks.

I'd like Buell to use a hydraulic clutch.

Parts interchangable. manufactor and design parts so that they can be swapped around from lighting, firebolt, uly, Ss, even keep tubers in mind.

If you design parts to only work on one bike. It decrease the overall value of that part by limiting demand. It also makes it harder for the aftermarket to produce parts. Without the ability to MOD...

--- ECU programable ECU. with software for "race use only" Very common for chevy LT1 and Ls1 cars.

New S3t/xb version with hard bags, tail bags, HID lights, heated grips.

The way I see it most people are going to
customize their Buell anyway. Seen lots of nice
stuff on this board.
But the things I would like to see the factory change, Are things that would be difficult or costly for the average rider.

Blake you already touched on the two sticking points I have with the XB line.

Do something about that dammmm TPS RESET.
Sure you don`t need to do it often.
But I would like to go to the dealership because I want to, Not because I have to.
And here is something else. Are you listening BUELL. I`m A motor head. You know the type.
I would like A user friendly fuel delivery system
from the FACTORY ! Make it race only for the EPA.
I don`t want some after market fuel management
device on my bike. Just to many head aches.

And because I`m A motor head, And anyone who would design A bike like the XB certainly is also.

How about some some more POWER. 120hp to the rear wheel would be nice. How about 1340 cc. I know
bigger motors were run in the race bikes.

Don`t break the mold. I don`t want A new motor, Or
160hp screamer. Stick to your guns And keep it A
BUELL

Hate to bring this up but. Have you seen the new Triumph 675 middle weight sport bike.
No more in line fours for them. They used A triple. It`s what they do, it`s what they are about.

Keep my Buell A Buell. I love the American V Twin.

S1Eric
