That is very kind of you Jay, thank you. The truth is though that I am not deserving of the credit for what has become BadWeB, just like the high school janitor cannot take credit for all the wonderful achievments, activities, fun, and learning in the school he helps to maintain. It sure has been a learning experience. Mostly very upbeat and rewarding, sometimes frustrating and disappointing. Live and learn, we all do the best we can, and I hope we all try to leave the world a little better than when we found it.  I look forward to meeting you in person. I miss the old Hawk's Nest and points beyond that I was able to explore on the Buell in the Spring and Summer of 2001. Wasn't my spray paint.  I was having too much fun riding. Really.  One of these days I'd like to take Court up on his offer to play two wheeled tour guide for a lap around Manahattan. That is definitely on my to-do list. Maybe we need to start planning an invasion. So you started it all huh? Its a great board but i have one question, whyd you go with BBS? I love this place though, this is the only buell community i have found that is worth while with enough info and activity to keep me happy. on a side note, still thinking about a dual sport lol | ||

Tsis, I merely got in touch with a guy who ran an internet server business that just happened to be called www.BadWeB.com. If you are referring to the board software, namely "Discus Pro", it was a bargain, and at the time back during the Summer of 1998, it seemed to offer the best package for low budget dicussion board software. We initially started out with plain old Discus, but soon upgraded to the Professional version. The root beginnings of BadWeB started on a discussion board on www.motorcycle.com (see the Bikini Bike comparo there from 1997 and its discussion pages). From there we started out with five of us in an email list. That was back in February, 1998. Then some character calling himself "Ferris Bueller" signed on to the list and brought about 40 of his friends with him, the infamous PacBOG crew. Too darn much email and a friendly challenge with a T-Shirt at stake, and BadWeB was born. Great memories. Jon, I want to especially thank you. You've made a huge positive impact for all the Buell enthusiasts here on BadWeB. Thank you for that. Loki, I think so too. The best thing by far for me are all the great friends and acquaintances I've made since BadWeB took off. November 12th, OHR, be there. | ||

Thanks for that, Blake. I think that thumbnail sketch that you just gave of BadWeb's (this board) beginnings is classic. This board should always honor the intentions of people like you and Ferris and friends from PacBog. I need to meet these guys. | ||

PACBOG...sounds like a video game...buncha Buells chompin' on the competition :c) PACBOG was pretty much the beginning of the Buell adventure for my Dad and a lotta other people. Thanks Blake for stickin' with the Buell 'dream' and keeping this site alive... | ||

Sounds like it is time to start planning a HUGE 10 yr anniversary celebration of BADWEB. I have only been on here for a few months and I will be getting my bike in a few weeks but to put it simply this place is KICKA$S!!!!!  I hop e that I will be as happy with my Buell as I have been learning all about it. Thanks to everyone who posts here with all thier insight and advice. P.S. I bought the bike of a member here. Bravo to Blake for his work and I do feel that Kudos (I was going to try a mix a write Buelldos, but it just didn't sound jusy right - as if that stopped moi before) should go out to everyone that has: -Welcomed nebe's to the board. -Helped with advise/info for fellow Buellers. -Offered places to stay, bikes to use, or have gone out of the way for another. -Let us into their family, with both the good and bad news. -Made us laugh. -Made us think. This board has become more than a gathering of eclectic Buell riders, it is a true reflection of real "bikers" (I really do not care for that term, let's change it)..........riders. Thanks to all.....Keep it going! | ||

DANG! The darn log analysis routine is bombing out on me. <sigh> Will have to fix it and report back. Might take a few days. I'm happy to report that in the last year (365 days) we've been fortunate to welcome 2,046 new users to BadWeB while 3,476 of our 7,398 total registered users were active and participating and another 300 kept watch via emailing of posts for their favorite topics/subtopics.
