It looks to me (on andrews site) like I can't get a higher ratio first...they go the other direction. |

Its been so long, I cant remember where I got the air cleaner. Actually I need one with a little more surface area as this one clogs up pretty quick. Been using a couple of pantyhose layers as a pre-filter over the foam and just pull them off as they get dirty. Works ok for now but I eventually want to build or buy something better. |

Well it started life as a C&J racing frame but this motor didn't fit and the geometry was all wrong for this application. Not enough rake or trail and the front wheel would contact the down tubes under full compression ...so lots had to be changed. The exhaust was made here locally (Arizona) by Premier cycles. I am 50 years old and my racing days are over. I once got so frustrated with the progress that I tried to sell it but...didnt get a single call. Now, I will never ever sell it as it has become my perfect machine. It satisfies my hunger for the vintage air cooled desert sled....but it rides handles and is as reliable (so far) as a modern bike. |

vintage air-cooled SEVENTY-FOUR CUBIC INCH desert sled. yes that IS the ticket. consider serial production? maybe just the frame, swingarm and exhaust? i have an 89 inch stroker that is getting real tired of its belly dragging flex-y steel frame, and the 42 pound cast rear wheel is just looking for a good excuse to go in the dumpster. |

At one point I did consider the idea of a rolling chassie kit....but the liability is just too horendous. Its a shame what doesnt get built because of the legal situation in this country. Lawyers will put us all out of business before its over. |
