Will be in '06,a month or so before the 2nd annual "Headless Horseman Run"... we'll blaze about the Delaware river side of "The OC", up Hawk's Nest following the southernmost paths which the Mohicans of James Fenimore Coooper's novel pedded with moccasined step... We'll cross over and pass by the "Swinging Bridge" resrvoir, where resident Blad eagles are easily spotted and not spooked by V-Twin thunder, over to rt. 52 and on to 44/55, up over "The Gunks" of climbing fame, and down through the Hudson Valley Wine Country and out through vast Horsefarms to ....welllll.l.l.l.l......that's a secret right now... stay tuned next riding season... I've got plenty of free time to plan rides, and I hoipe that we can somehow involve Badweb, officilally on all of our future runs and put badweatherbikers.com on our future run shirts.... ...as you were..... good timing for sunday...maybe give johhnyLB and princessninja time to get back from marcus dairy...gimme time to wake the sam hill up.... * * on next year's "Last Of The Mohicans" run, I believe we'll need to have stick-on 'mohawk' hairpieces available for our helmets.... The run shirts alone will be worth the ride.... I promise it'll be a "can't-miss-this-one" run... |

I also have a real nice run in Vermont for the more sport-touring oriented fellers. I also know a nice down-home inn in that area that rents quiet clean rooms for 38 bucks and has home cooking and beer taps downstairs. I may have to plan a "Green Mountain Run" for next year...it'll include the famous twisty Route 100 and Route 17 (aka App Gap). EDIT: I forgot to mention that there are about a billion roads up there screaming to be used by a Uly. (Message edited by johnnylunchbox on October 29, 2005) |
