man, the leaves are always beautiful in the valley. here in the OC, we breathe the bottled stuff, and milk and honey flow freely from the gurgling rivulets of our verdant peaks.... smell the sweet white oak and red cedar of our mohican valley.... (come to our valley just for the apple cider) |

Danny- my bad. overslept. long night. some badwebbers and a buddy of mine served a light-knock warrant on the oversleeping trampsquatch, hence we buzzed over to bear mtn. we 'vogued' in the warm sun glittering off the hudson a mile below us, then we had a 'twist and shout' (1965 apple records) clinic on rt. 218 past west point and through the 'dynamic slalom' of inumerable bicyclists (velocipedestrians) enjoying their 'fall foliage tour'... they change position faster than cones do.... the quick and the dead littered the palisades along 218. strange shrieking of shimano brakes and the otherworldly appearance of cameltoe leotards and fishhead helmets.....garish HOG-trussed manly-men trotting about like sunset strip chickenhawks, painfully tiny cowboy boots and permanent pressed polyester doubleknit officially-licensed bluejeans....no more stopping along 218.....my inner child was bawling inconsolably from the sudden appearance of a gaggle of chromeplated weekend do-rags heading south for the winter, chomping sgt. rock ceeeegars under scowling beanie helmets....squawking and belching like a flock of wild canadas intent only on carpet bombing the nearest golf course with fecal rain.... john kay writhing in his grave for having ever penned their anthemic "born to be wild", and he ain't even dead yet...as of this login.... i'm pleased that mike has confidence in the bungee that secures my hammer (and my seat, for that matter) to my S2... much more than I have in the duct tape that keeps my hamcan somewhat near my carburator. ahhh, the historic hudson valley: "The scenery's here, wish you were beautiful!" catch a spin with us next week- injun mort wants to cook up a barbeque at his place. nice garage. he just left the 'loaf on his '37 norton. grown HOG members were observed to weep openly at the cloud of castor oil mustard gas in the old limey beast's wake...gabe cut clean the screen with his MvAugusta, and AJ's Combat Commando rattled the windows of the Candle Shop. mongrel hordes indeed. Atilla would trade a string of his feral ponies for that Commando, clubman bars, Joe Hunt mag et al. my attack tabby brought home another garter snake, clearly, we need to talk... He was a nice enough feller- also staright up regarding his dim view of Buells. He was credulously shocked when i explained that me S2 has been less maintenance than any of my Beemer airheads were, mile-for-mile. when you look at my heap o' s2 up close, the mileage is painfully evident...although I DO have a very high-tech shifter apparatus |

High-tech indeed...I also like the "ergo" front brake lever! Pretty is as pretty does... Got your clutch problem worked out? What was it? rt |
