I think that's actually courtesy of killboy.com . I know for a fact that that's the Dragon and they took the photo. |

Oh, I was wanting to see a picture of the NEW FLXB14SX. Too bad they had a "rice bowl" wearing test pilot (love his other safety gear also). |

It'll give him time to "catch up" on that 72 CD box set of Yanni he's put off listening to for the last 6 years. |

You can't drag hard parts long before that happens. I thought it was cool to drag the crash bars on my old KZ1000 until one of the wheels came off of the ground. Not a fun afternoon. |

Hummm, I'd first like to say, " I hope he's ok." Second, are we so jaded as to have no concern for a fellow rider's well being as he obviously crashed his bike? Was he in error? Looks like it, but does that warrant a slew of negative comments and none for his well being? I wonder if the same comments would have been made if he was on a different motorcycle brand? No- If he were on a Buell, I'da said that BRAG stands for: Bumbling Rider Ate Gravel ...bikes go down all the time. If the rider's not fine, I blame his own poor judgement in helmet design and disco-bondage jackboots |

Hell, I laugh at myself when I go down...I would damn well hope others would laugh at me too! Times like this we all know it was an error on our own part. Nobody cut him off...nobody hit him. He just took the corner too fast. Live and learn, and laugh while you're doing it. |

The concern is in our hearts for most of us, just not stated. I always hope that when no report of serious injury comes with the photos that there was none. But looking at his riding gear, I'm thinking he did not escape undamaged. Is he waving at the camera in the first photo? Looking at the second photo, the bike is already well grounded and the right side crash bar may be folding forward. The last photo shows a major change in front wheel alignment with the yellow lines and the suspension bottomed so the front end has already skated or jumped left a bunch. Looks like a good start for a high side. Too bad. Jack |

2Hogs, I think the seeming lack of sympathy is due to the "cruiser lifestyle" choice to mock safety equipment and take style very seriously. Some of the riders on this board are really into riding hard and dressing for safety, and it seems nuts to us to ride essentially unprotected but in very fashion consious attire. |

Tramp: I just wanted to work "mufti" into the thread! Looking back at the pix, I think Jack's right--looks like he's giving one of those "cool waves" in the first one, maybe got a little wobble going then went down. It doesn't look like a real bad fall, but it's hard to be sure from the pix. I'll bet he was wishing for a jacket in pic 3... rt |

Yea pic 3 gives indication that bike and rider are soon to part ways. The fact that he's dragging hard parts makes me think he's doing more than 10-15mph, and that sleeveless t-shirt isn't going to provide much protection against road rash. Road rash can sting a little. On another note, I can't say I have ATGATT when just putting over to the store, or getting the engine hot after changing the oil, so it's jeans, T-shirt and boots and sometimes no helmet as they changed the helmet law in my state. Course in the 100 miles I put on my XB12X I've had full gear including a full-face with 'colorful' graphics |

I just don't get why he's almost off the bike by pic 3- why's his left leg up in the wir as opposed to on his left peg? can you imagine trying to pull that inadvertant stunt? something's definitely rotten in denmark, with that shot. My money's more on photoshop than on HOG idiocy.... Incidentally, 2hogs- your point is still well-taken. and for the record, I was always a big twin fan...I hope to purchase another FXR in the next year, and RT's posted shots of his gorgeous FLH...so it's not a swipe at the fella's choice of motorcycle, but more at his bizarro-marylou rettonian dismount...what a spaz.... |

they are now Incidentally- I rarely wear a full-sleeved leather jacket, and almost never wear boots. I'm typically in my HA leathers cutoffs and hoodie on das buell, but I always and i mean *always* wear my fullface shoei. |

No photo-shop in those pics, it's pure poser antics. You can see the whole series at KillBoy.com. The photo's were shot by Darryl Cannon and he stated the rider and the bike both fared well with only some minor road rash. |

Judging by the way his front wheel has moved from right to left between pic 2 and pic 3, I'd guess he got a wobble going and couldn't hang on. His right board is sparkin' righteously in #2. The first thing to touch down on a Road King is the floorboard and you've gotta lean it a lot further than that before the tire lifts up (never mind how I know that...) but he obviously went the full distance. All kidding aside, I hope he didn't get hurt too badly. I can't fault his lack of gear, I ride in jeans and a t-shirt all the time when it's hot (which is much of the time down here--it's supposed to hit 100 in Houston today). I'll risk some skin to stay comfortable, but the hat, glasses, gloves and boots are non-negotiable. You're too kind, Tramp. But I am having a lot of fun with the shovel! Just gave myself a refresher course in S&S carb rebuilding while I was waiting out Hurricane Rita, and the results are most satisfactory. Hung a little fresh chrome while I was at it. No clutch adjustments, though! I even got a hot babe to sit on it! rt |
