Harley Davidson and the Marlboro Man is a great movie! Try "Beyond the Law" with Charlie Sheen and Michael Madson, Freakin' great. I still hold out hope that "Along Came Bronson" will be released on DVD; I've heard so much about it. |

Silver Dream Racer is a rather corny British flick but at least it has period racing scenes. Supposedly the engine in the featured bike is a square four Barton, the same type that Erik Buell campaigned in his RW750. |

Beyond The Law is indeed a fine flick. I think Michael Madson is one of those underrated actors. I know I'm going to get hammered for saying this but Stone Cold is pretty good too. Brian Bosworth is a hard sell as a biker but Lance Henrickson does a good job playing the head of the "brotherhood". Once again a bit o' cheesy acting and not the best story line but entertaining nonetheless and some fine looking scoots indeed. |

I'll second. "Little Fauss and Big Halsy" (1970) It is all about racing the bikes. Sears Point was the ultimate. Back then, if you were into racing bikes. You raced them all. Redford actually crashes in the movie by accident, but the scene was left in. |

Anyone mention Brown Bunny yet. It is supposed to be about a racer travelling back home or something like that. However it is also listed as explicit due to some graphic scene I'm sure no one has heard of yet. I haven't seen it, has anyone? |

Anyone mention Brown Bunny yet. I haven't seen yet but want to. I dig Vincent Gallo's work. Heard it was so-so. I went to high-school with the lead chic in that flick. Chloe. RE: Ewan McGregor, he's a HUGE bike fanatic. I think he was doing his own documentary last year, round the globe type of thing. Anyone know details on that? I wanted to catch an update months ago but forgot about it. |

The British black and white cafe racer movie mentioned earlier is called, "The Leather Boys." I know, it sounds pretty lame, but it's actually a good movie that was beautifully shot and in some respects, ahead of its time. Great twist at the end. And lots of Triumphs, Nortons, BSAs and old fashioned burn-ups... But the best MC movie ever would have to be Faster. No contest. |

Tramp, So does Mickey Rourke exude the coolness in person as he does on screen or is he a mere mortal like the rest of us? You are lucky to have seen the original in person. I have seen copies which ALWAYS are lacking in the little details (crucifix on the risers, etc.) which made the original bike so unique. |

The Ewan McGregor documentary was called Long Way Round. http://www.longwayround.com All about he and his friend Charlie riding around the world on BMW GS1150s. (London through Europe, through Asia, through Russia, across Bering Straits, across USA - ending up in NY) It was a fantastic documentary. Had my wife and I glued to the TV every Thursday night. It's available on DVD now. And I believe it'll be run on TV again at some point, although I'm not sure which network will carry it. |

luvthemtorts- I never met Mickey Rourke, although he starred in a movie with 'upstate scenes' shot a couple miles from my house ("The Pope Of Greenwich Village" ... No, the BIKE I've guarded over, ridden behind, and answered questions about. On the Aircleaner, it bears a plaque with an inscription regarding it's ownership (Mickey Rourke), it's claim to fame (Harley Davidson And The Marlboro Man)and the arrangement whereby Charming Chuck rides it and keeps an eye on it...for his friend, Mickey. (for photos of the sled, w/Chuck astride, go to chuckzito.com- there's even a photo ad from bergen HD/Buell featuring him on it) anyway- interesting bike, phenomenal man. |

Tom B, Ain't that a bummer? The guy seems to be as cool as can be in about every movie I have ever seen him in. In Bullet he was the epitomy of the brooding cool guy. Unfortunately I guess the general public (me included) tends to put people on a pedestal that they can't possibly live up to in real life. Was he at least friendly? I have never met Peter Fonda in real life but he MUST be cool because, after all, he played Captian America. Perhaps in this life or the next you, me and Peter can have a sit down and plumb the depths of the deep meanings behind his now famous movie character. However I fully expect you to purchase the beverages LOL. Tramp, Still awesome that you have seen the real deal. Do me a big favor. When you see it again try to get a good picture of the rear fender/strut configuration if you have a camera handy. I have the movie poster on my wall and have seen tons o' pics but none ever show how the fender ties into the bike. |

Tramp, Thanks for the link. I didn't realize you were talking about the dude from Oz! I would give my left testicle to own that bike! Of all the movie and tv series bikes I have ever seen that particular bike appeals to me the most. It is absolutely stunning even when compared to todays so called "customs". Looks simple but look closer and all the small details start popping out at you. Fine looking steed indeed. |

I met mickey rourke twice during mardi gras in new orleans a few years back. he was filming a movie with robert deniro and lisa bonet. i can't remember the move name now, but he was just a regular friendly guy. Not snobby, not real cool, just a regular guy who makes his living be a tough cool guy. didn't mean it to sound like he was a jerk, just a regular guy who seemed a little put off by the attention. I did meet Peter Fonda, he was a snob, Bridget fonda was really nice though of course she is a little hottie so that helped. Bike movie favorites would have to be "on any sunday" and "Harley Davidson and Marlboro Man" (Message edited by Tom_B on September 23, 2005) |
