Hi, "RIDDEN CAREFULLY AND SELDOM AS HE'S TOO BUSY DESIGNING BIKES AND DOING SHOWS" Hmmmmm, I've seen some of his shows, I seem to remember a lot of burnouts in them, but that is the real RM, maybe this Russel Mitchell rides like an old fart... lol Tom |

I don't think he would have painted the tail section shiny black. |

I remember seeing a picture of Russel Mitchell on a Buell... doing a crazy burn-out. Owned by him: possibly Ridden carefully: doubtful |

Yeah, well this one is even more amusing. I didn't know a Latus muffler, and a TFI unit added 40+ HP to an XB9 "Estimated 120HP" http://cgi.ebay.com/ebaymotors/2003-Buell-Lightning-XB9S-1500-in-After-Market-Pa rts_W0QQitemZ4576703216QQcategoryZ49985QQssPageNameZWDVWQQrdZ1QQcmdZViewItem |

Professionally dyno tuned with an estimated 120hp. Would you not have a legit number after spending that cash. Go figure |

Too bad I didn't see this earlier. I talked to Russell on Saturday & I could have asked him about it. I told him I could build one of his bikes in a month no problem to see what he'd say. In true cocky form he told me to buy one of his kits then and build it. |

I told him I could build one of his bikes in a month no problemYeah, but the kit comes with all the proper parts and instructions. When the show first started, I thought the same thing. But after watching a few episodes, I'm not so sure any longer. They really just give you a pile of parts and tell you good luck. I'll stick to building Buells |

This is kind of like Jon Voight's Le Baron on Seinfeld. |

Jersey, If we had only known. Man, we could have had some fun with Russell. You could have had him beat the crap outta your new ride same as OCC Vinnie did to your bike last year. Enjoyed our ride together this weekend. Let's do it again soon. SteveH |

Steve - Yeah, that was a great ride. I really enjoy and appreciate riding with you guys. BTW - Drummer's on. Check the KV. As to Mr. Mitchell - I watched Build or Bust last night & now I know why he wouldn't consider me. My cleavage isn't as nice as hers.... Casey Casum's daughter is really hot. Of course she didn't finish the bike but it was fun for all to look at her. I could seriously build a semi custom bike in a month and one of his kits in maybe 2 weeks. My problem is that I'm just not interesting enough. |

The Buell you see Russell doing a Burnout on at the Smokeout is an XB12. And having looked at the title paperwork for my parts bike which is registered in Cali...it says "BUELL" under 'Make' not "HD"... |

These were from Easy Riders in Fowlerville 2004. The bike belonged to some petite little girlie from the Metro Detroit area.

I've seen that bike at Russell's shop when it was new - before he did any mods to it. He rode it to the Love Ride a couple years ago, too. He os REAL fond of doing burnouts, so it's likely some of those 1000 miles are only on the motor, drive train, and back wheel! AL |
